All bad luck gone and good luck ahead for Arsenal?

Let’s be honest, Gooners, and admit that Arsenal need all the help we can get if we are to avoid this season being a complete disaster. Nothing can stop it from being a disappointment, after a 13th failed Premier League title challenge in a row coupled with a humiliating record breaking knockout defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

There is still plenty to play for, though, even if we are struggling to get excited right now about another top four finish or even an FA cup trophy win. Neither of those are looking particularly likely right now, although we can be a lot more optimistic after the last two rounds of Premier League action, but I still think we need lady luck to be on our side from now on.

To be fair, she does owe Arsenal a few favours after another season of awful injury blows and poor decisions from the officials and they do say that luck is supposed to even itself out over the course of a campaign, so maybe those penalties we should have had but were denied against West Ham and the latest minor knocks that have ruled out Koscielny and Ospina will be the last bits of bad luck the Gunners get, for a while at least.

If no more bad luck comes our way then Arsene Wenger will soon have a full squad of players to choose from, excepting Santi Cazorla, and the confidence and form is growing and should continue to do so with two very winnable games against Crystal Palace and Middlesborough coming up.

Will it be plain sailing and fair seas from now on?
