Pick your best Arsenal team to face Chelsea (No Alexis)

What is Arsenal’s best XI? by Sam P

There is not much longer for the Arsenal fans to wait, and how glad are we all about that? In less than two weeks, the Gunners will run out for the first game of pre-season against a Singapore select XI in their national stadium, so I expect that the players that have not been given extended summer breaks will be back in training next week.

Apart from Alexis Sanchez, Arsene Wenger will have pretty much his whole first team squad to choose from, with the recent crippling injury problems (whisper it) seemingly over. So it will be very interesting to see how Le Prof lines the team up.

Of course we expect to see some of the fringe players and the young players like Zelalem and Akpom given a chance to impress and make a case for the first team squad, but the pre-season games, especially the Emirates cup, gives the boss a great opportunity to get his best XI out on the pitch before the serious stuff starts.

Obviously we cannot plan for any new signings, but with what we have, and leaving Alexis out for now, how do you see that best XI looking like to play in the Charity Shield against Chelsea? Will Wenger stick with Cazorla in the box to box role or will Ramsey resume his role in the centre? Will Theo Walcott be an automatic starter and if so, on the right or in the middle? Will Debuchy retake the right back spot from Bellerin? Will Ozil be our top number 10?

I cannot wait to find out and I am sure that the boss will have a few surprises for us as usual. How would you line Arsenal up against Chelsea, keeping in mind that Alexis will not be there?
