Is Ramsey just another glory-hunter like Van Persie?

There have been many top Arsenal players that have moved on simply because they believed they could earn more money and win trophies. The most famous example of this was Robin Van Persie, who joined Manchester United for Alex Ferguson’s last season at Old Trafford and shot the Red Devils to the League title, but there have been many many more, like Cesc Fabregas, Gael Clichy, Sami Nasri and of course Adebayor.

Now it has been revealed that our Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey has also left us because he wants to go and win trophies as well. He is not the first Welshman to go and play for Juventus as Ian Rush joined them in 1986, and the ex-Liverpool legend revealed that he has spoken to Ramsey about his decision to go to Turin. He was asked why Ramsey chose Juve and he said: “Why Juve? I spoke to him a couple weeks ago, he’s always been convinced of this choice because he wants to win trophies and Juve has always been the first choice for this.

“He believes that they have more chances to win than other teams.”

There is no doubt that you couldn’t pick a more dominant team to go to right now as Juventus have won the last seven Serie A titles and four Coppa Italias in the same period, and also got to two Champions League Finals. They are currently 14 points clear at the top and heading for their eighth. I can’t think of any better place to be if you want titles, whereas Arsenal are just desperate to try and get back into the Top Four…

Can you blame him for leaving? Or is he just another glory hunter like Van Persie?
