It looks like Lacazette really is coming to Arsenal!

After listening to Jean-Michel Aulas’ ridiculous statements all week, it now appears that Arsenal and Lyon really are closing in on a deal to bring Alexandre Lacazette to the Emirates. Even SkySports have now posted it on their website.

Sky have just posted: Arsenal have told Lyon they are willing to pay £45m plus add-ons for striker Alexandre Lacazette, Sky sources understand.

Sources close to the France international are confident a deal can be done between the two clubs.

This has come very quickly after the news that Lyon have signed the Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz for £7million, to add to the arrival earlier this week of Bertrand Traore from Chelsea, so now the Ligue 1 club have sourced two replacements for Lacazette.

This is brilliant news for Arsenal fans, but it may not be so welcomed by Olivier Giroud, who is a direct rival for the centre-forward spot in the French national side.

The big question now is if Arsenal will now be happy to sell Alexis Sanchez if the arrival of Lacazette is confirmed?

      1. Suit yourselves. Me, I’d liked to have heard something before Arsene was pictured in France. And before every tabloid broke the rumors in the first place. We all know Arsene is going to spend in this window. And by the rumors, we all know it is a striker and a winger for sure.

Ps, In may I drew up a probable team for next season. It had Lemar and Lacazette in it, do I not get credit. Reason I put Lemar in it is because he’s young quick French and he seemed to be a little under the radar at the time. Re-Source, I am his source.

    1. @ Robin Vanpayslip… I know even if we sign Messi & Ronaldo, it still won’t be enough in your eyes, let’s at least give credit for once that the club is trying to bring in players, there was a time no outfield player was bought and we never killed ourselves over it, we shouted and criticized the club and Arsene but it still meant nothing…. so i am happy as a Gunner that we are at least making effort and to me it doesn’t even matters maybe Alexis leaves or not, I will always be a Gunner..COYG

      1. That is true. Messi and Ronaldo wouldn’t give me much confidence because unfortunately we have a very bad manager. Ozil used to be a good player but look at him now. Look at Xhaka, he was very good too. He signed Mustafi who has not coped. No striker since RVP left.

A long string of mistakes that left the club in 5th. So forgive me if I don’t jump with joy. I’m not player football manager here so players won’t make much of a difference when the guy steering the ship is a fool. He should have signed a striker years ago but didn’t. Remember, this guy has tried experiments with Wellbeck and Perez to name a few. This isn’t his first desperate attempt at a striker – wackazette is just the latest of a long line.

  1. EXACTLY AS I SAID! #LACALEMAR
    EVERYTHING AS I SAID!

    1. I had explained this so long ago and Fatboy thought it was rubbish. Majority thought it was rubbish. Thanks to all the true arsenal fans for believing me.
Enough number of dislikes on fatboy’s comments and I will reveal source

      1. Alexis Sanchez has signed a new 3 year deal worth 320k a week with huge signing on fee of 2.5m pounds. A number of clause have been added to the contract.

Will reveal source if enough dislikes for fatboy..

        1. Time to doubt you on this one. If Sanchez had signed a new deal, why are city over confident that they gonna sign him? It would’ve maid sense if you said he has VERBALLY ACCEPTED to sign. And why did Wenger say that he believes he’ll honour his contract to the end?

          1. Yes which is why I have said don’t believe it until its official as with his situation every part involved has been very tight lipped..Source thinks its true though.

It is easy for us to conclude that these are wingers last tow years and he will want to do something big before leaving..

I feel alexia will stay as he does not have another option. There are a number clauses that have been included apparently..
So maybe he gets to leave next season if arsenal do not win anything major IDK.

            #Fatboygoneskinny?

            1. Re-source, I said Lacazette months ago, me and about four others predicted that ages back. And I said Lemar last month. You reading my thoughts.

        2. Just curious why Arsenal would sign Lemar if Sanchez has supposedly penned a new deal. Unless Wenger has plans to revisit a back four set up, I find it hard to believe the Monaco man would leave guaranteed 1st team football for a chance to compete @ Arsenal.

Now if this is the case, color me excited about next season

          Laca
          Sanchez…Ozil…Lemar
          Xhaka…Seri
          Kolasanic…Boss…Holding…Hector
          Cech

          1. Yes both have been done.. #LACALEMAR
            Idk im not arsene lol..
Lemar is a class player i guess thats why we signed him.
Maybe he could replace santi..hes got the technique and composure

            1. I thought the Lemar deal was off though? Did I miss something.

But well done if you have called this right. This site can be a very hostile place i have found with a lot of people a little over the top of the do not agree with other people- some might even say a little toxic.

          2. Why does Ozil have to play?
What if one of the 3 AM you listed got injured?
Should we play all 3 of them on a thur night and those 3 again on a Sat?
What if Lemar takes 6 ish months to settle and adapt?

IMO this would add much needed quality in depth, if Ozil is being lazy then bring on the eager to impress Lemar…

          3. i am pretty sure sanchez is leaving..no way we sign lacazette and a left-winger (ie mahrez, lemar) without one leaving. no signs of walcott or giroud leaving. plus the reports of sanchez and wenger disputes..sanchez is not the type of player who will stay without 1 year contract in the europa league at the prime age of 27. too many signs showing hes going to leave

        3. Your info aint appreciated here

Have you ever considered starting your own blog and update this you call first hand info? I would like to be there, give me the address already

        1. It’s not done yet tho and Sanchez signing a new deal would be something that arsenal would want out in the media as soon as it happend so not shore this has happened

    2. About time I give you thumbs up mate ,still I don’t get why you get all tripping about fat boy gunner

  2. Am not excited about this deal a single bit?
Laca is a very little upgrade to the strikers we already have. I need PROLIFIC!

    1. That’s because he is just a French Wellbeck. Wenger can’t sign a proper striker. He tried Suarez and he tried Higuain and it turned out he was too cheap both times.

People can thumb me down all they want but the truth is that Wenger doesn’t have it in him which is why he is taking the easy route so that he won’t get booed from day 1.

I’m happy to say sorry when he signs a too player but let’s face it – I won’t be needing to say sorry any time soon.

      1. I wish Welbeck could score as many as Lacazette, want to compare the goal ratio?
Trying to say he is the French Welbeck shows how little you know about football, Lacazette is Lacazette, simple as that.

        1. Lac is much better footballer, touch control dribbling he is much better than Welbeck. And as you say – he scores.

  3. Even if Arsenal succeeded to sign Lacazette, they should not contemplate selling Alexis to any club this summer even if he insisted on wanting out at Arsenal. Arsenal should endeavour to take a gamble by still keeping him despite the risk of losing him for free later in 2018 if he refugees to extend his soon to expire deal at Arsenal. Rather, they should continue to persuade him to extend his current deal at Arsenal beyond the coming 2017-18 season when his deal will expire.

If Lacazette is signed, and Sanchez and Giroud stay on. the onus to leave Arsenal either on loan out or be sold this summer looks to fall on Welbeck or Walcott. But the issue is, Walcott is a good contributor of goals to Arsenal’s season goals tally than Welbeck is. Therefore, I will prefer Walcott is retained by Le Prof but loan out Welbeck.

  4. Laccazatte is the only striker we can afford in wages combined with the price, Unfortunately he is our next Henry remember that when he joined from Juve he was not a world beater, so I still believe that we will transform Lacca to a profic 9

  5. Even if Arsenal succeeded to sign Lacazette, they should not contemplate selling Alexis to any club this summer even if he insisted on wanting out at Arsenal. 6. I wish Wenger can add a little speed to this Lacazette thing, he or whoever is doing this negotiation might be having fun but Fans are having a very tough time!

Don’t be surprised by tomorrow there might be another conflicting or negative report (I hope not) or Aulas might decide to open his mouth again…I hope this goes through rapidly!!

  7. If Alexis leaves then Lacazette would not be good enough. We would need more. We would really need at least one top class winger

If Alexis stayed then Lacazette would strengthen us because he would be an upgrade to Giroud. Getting Mahrez or Lemar would be the icing on the cake. Would give us a very strong attack. Perhaps not necessarily the best but close

  8. Wenger is ding to please fund for the first time, if that’s the case, let him hurry with the deal so that we are free from contradicting statements always, remember we as well need lemar coz Alexis future is uncertain, he may change his mind anytime….hope am not deceiving pals.

  9. Guys, is there any new signing? Am tired of stories all the time yet fans are badly waiting for any positive impacts from the club……

  10. I am the Source of Re-source, and I can exclusively reveal that he’s a sad little boy, in his bedroom, typing one handed (his other hand is busy playing with his stubby little todger), desperately trying to get “likes” by spinning his fantasies on here.

Grow up little boy, and learn to separate fact from fiction

  11. wow do you guys beleive this crap …any1 can go on sky bet and look at the odds and get 1 sighing out of 2 rigtht .. please dont be so guillble ffs ..most normal people knew that we were after him.

  12. Lacazette is a class CF, he has never played outside of France so he may take a bit of time to adapt to a new league and language…
Please remember that it took TH14 a short while to get going in the red and white, if Lacazette doesn’t hit the ground scoring a hattrick then please support him, if he can replicate what he does for OL for AFC then Wenger can make him a better CF.

Lacazette could surprise everyone and give us a CF we haven’t seen in over a decade, he could flop… Give him time though.

  13. If Sanchez goes to Man City we will officially be a Man City feeder club. 4 signings. Clichy, Sagna, Nasri and Sanchez. If ‘Wenger the Weak’ can get Aguerro in a part exchange deal for Sanchez it counts as only three feeder signings and we will not be seen as a feeder club. I cannot think of a better signing than Aguerro. He has 3 good top years left and with Lacazette we would burst the net. Unfortunately Wenger is a Dodo and he will give Sanchez away for Money because his he is so much of a tight butt. Oh for Aguerro. Hope we don,t become Man City’s official feeder club.
