Jack Wilshere joins his boyhood club West Ham and Arsenal fans should be happy for him

Arsenal fans have known for ages that Jack Wilshere was set to leave Arsenal, and only soome idiots thought that he would really move to Fenerbahce in Turkey when he is a London boy through and through.

Jack and his whole family were West Ham fans from when he was a kid, so it is little surprise that if he left Arsenal he would go back to his roots and join his local club. He was not guaranteed playing time at Arsenal by Unai Emery so it is a good move for him to try and get regular football at the Hammers. Jack himself is very happy about it. “It feels good, it feels special,” Wilshere said on West Ham’s official website. “Many people know that I’ve had a special bond with this club growing up.

“People will have seen the picture of me in a West Ham shirt and I’ve got good memories of my childhood supporting West Ham, watching them at Upton Park. It feels good and of course my family and a few of my friends are West Ham fans so everyone’s buzzing.”

AWhen asked why he chose West Ham, Wilshere replied: “I think it was a number of things, the manager being one and the way he wants to play and where he sees me playing.

“The fans, of course – everyone knows how big West Ham’s fanbase is – and especially in this new Stadium. Not many clubs could fill it week in, week out, and West Ham do.

“I want to be playing here in front of the Hammers, and my bond I’ve had with the Club over my childhood will make it even more special.”

We all knew that he wouldn’t leave London, and hopefully everything will work out for him. At least he will play regularly, which he would never get at Arsenal. We will give him a great welcome when he comes to the Emirates and gets beaten 4-0!

  1. I’m happy for him….. I hope he does well there… my nephew is a hammer, so he’s happy!
It’s a shame it didn’t work out for him with us, but at least he’ll play every week with them!
Thanks for the memories Super Jack! Especially what do you think of Tottenham ??

  2. Great move for him! Good luck.

Welcome Kostas, Lich…, sokratis, TORRIERA , new “wonderkid” , and my big signing to shut us all up in LOZANO

    1. I’d prefer Bernardo Silva, Bailey or Malcom over Lozano

Lozano is a young tireless winger which reminds me of Dirk Kuyt, but we have many players that can play like that on the left side

      1. ive seen bernado Silva in the workd cup and he is also good. i will not lie ive seen much of malcolm or Bailey but as long as they LW im cool

  3. Happy for him and I hope he is not successful at West Ham, to help Arsenal win the Premier League

Because we have given him to West Ham, maybe they could give us Arthur Masuaku in return? Masuaku has very good ball control, dribbling skill and strong left foot that could make him a good left winger or fullback:

  4. Good luck Jack wish you all the best!! At least Andy Carroll will have someone to keep him company in the treatment room!!??

  5. Sunderland’s 16 year old striker Sam Greenwood is also at London Cooney and is set to sign.DONE DEAL!!

Remember Torreira wears No. 19 or 24 .

Mustafi’s sale should see Soyuncu signed. The number of CB’s we have is what has caused this.As I said we can pay the £35m but Sanllehi wants to get him at reduced price. We had initially agreed to pay the £35m asking price for him but this was actually a tactic. The reason why Soyuncu has come out several times and has been vocal about Arsenal is that he’s trying to force the move meaning his head has already been turned. But do not be shocked to see Mustafi being swapped for another player.

        1. 2-05 pm
Kev- he will be confirmed in 2 hours ,we’ll done Kev you got it right once again lol

    1. Any news for Yerry Mina? Arsenal only have Mavropanos as their only towering CB, and he is still too young

Not sure about Soyuncu, but Mustafi and Koscielny need to be replaced

      1. No movement on Yerry Mina yet. What I know is once Mustafi goes Soyuncu will be his replacement that is if we are not swapping Mustafi with any Juventus defender which in that case means we won’t sign him.
Soyuncu is a Mustafi replacement but we may use Mustafi to sign Benatia or Rugani.

    2. Contrary to reports Lucas Perez will be leaving Arsenal.
As a reminder : Ospina to Fenebarche.
      Kelechi Nwakali to Porto(done)
Ramsey will sign new contract worth £200,000 a week + captain(favourite as of now)+ performance based incentive.

      1. are you just going to pretend that everything else you said today hasnt been wrong? ???

        1. He is just reading it from twitter and reporting it here. I guess it saves us a trip 🙂

  6. Good luck Jack at West Ham. You will always be an Arsenal legend. West Ham have signed a great player and wish him all the luck. It’s a shame you had so many injury problems at a young age because you would definitely still be at Arsenal if you didn’t. COUG’s.

  7. Will be interesting to see how Wilshere performs at the Emirates in the third game of the season.Have a feeling he will be completely by-passed in midfield and put to bed once and for all the reason why he was not taken on.He has found his level at West Ham and he will probably no longer be considered at International level. And to think he was only a few years ago considered to be the future of England’s midfield.Lets also remember that he will be a top wage earner for the next few seasons so it’s not as though he is selling big issues to make a living.

  8. London boy through and through?

Born in hertfordshire, stevenage, grew up in hertfordshire, hitchin and started his career in bedfordshire, luton and even now does not live in London

Well there is a london boy for ya.

  9. Happy for him. He will always be a Gunner

Toreira is what we’ve needed for ages but even with Torreira we ideally need an upgrade creative central midfielder. Defensively we have Torreira (El-neny as backup). But not sure if Ramsey is staying and Xhaka needs competition to improve. Neither are anyway near Cazorla level

  10. All da best bull jack w. And im u choose west h it benefits the gunners suporters who loves ur ball passing styls special mi vanny from namibia. So i will be waching many games of ur new home braa work hard ?

  11. CALL ME HARD HEARTED BUT I COULDN’T CARE LESS WHERE OUR EX AND FAILED PLAYERS PLY THEIR TRADE.
