Juventus eyeing raid on Arsenal following Morata exit

Juventus are claimed to be eyeing a move to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal this summer.

The Old Lady confirmed that they would be losing Alvaro Morata back to Real Madrid this week, with the Spanish giants set to trigger his buy-back clause following an impressive two-year spell in Italy.

The Gunners are currently being linked with a move to sign the Spaniard following his return to Madrid, but the speculation appears to be ignoring the news on Real’s official website, which stated he would be joining up with the first-team squad for pre-season, on the manager’s orders.

Juve are now keen to add firepower to their attack, and are said to be eyeing a move for Arsenal’s Sanchez.

The report claims that Juve eyed deals for Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and PSG striker Edinson Cavani, but believe they strike a deal for Alexis for a lower expense.

I have no idea where they would get such thoughts from, not that the report has to be true, as the Chilean is a key player for our club, and would no way be leaving the club on the cheap.

Alexis is currently in the USA participating in the Copa America, where his side will take on Colombia for a place in the final against Argentina, who whooped the host nation 4-0 to seal their place in the top two.

The forward has two years remaining on his current Arsenal deal, and the club are hoping to tie him down to an extension in the coming months. Ozil is also in the same situation, and a new deal has been in the pipeline for the pair for some time now.

Do you believe we would be willing to sell Alexis? Surely that is simply not an option?

  1. Hahaha, Juventus will only have enough money to sign Sanchez from Arsenal if the sell Pogba, and I don’t say that with the intention of speaking bad about their economy.

  2. On strikers but slightly off topic what happened to negredo? He went off the boil at City and then got injured, before this his was banging them in and got a Spain call up. I really liked him, is he like 38 now? 🙂

  3. Negredo 31 in August, yikes! I still wish we could sign chicarito. A mobile fox in the box like him would be amazing.

  4. forget this unless someone offers silly money 55-60 mil for sanchez the board are not silly, there a lot of pressure on Arsenal this year with other clubs doing poorly last season. Chels,City,Utd pool will be stronger and for us to lose possibly our best player not going to happen.

i would play sanchez as a striker and sign a top winger and CB , we have a strong squad IF everyone steps it up i say IF

  5. £25 million plus a player is the rumoured offer,
There was no mention of which player, though.

  6. Well Alexis will be well rewarded for his current performance by Arsenal shortly and partly for that agreement to happen Wenger must be on the phone rather than doing stupid interviews on who shall be the next star in Euros, Other than that it really is mangers like Mourinho who probably is instigating Agents to refuse Arsenal even though UCL is with Arsenal. Good thing is to keep players on the roaster and don’t think Wenger will ever sell to Juve when offered paltry figure for RVP.

  7. I was disappointed when I read the thread title and thought finally someone is bidding for Giroud.

Why does nobody bid for Giroud? They bid for Henry, they bid for Adepaymemore and they bid for RVP………

  8. I agree completely.I have been thinking what if we Wenger converts Alexis into a striker then buys seriously pacey and direct winger like Bolasie?Alexis is in the moulds of Aguero and Suarez and would surely give you a better performance than some of these strikers touted around for soooo much!
