Lacazette looking to improve further at Arsenal

Alexandre Lacazette has been scoring goals for fun in Ligue 1, but now he has been given the chance by Arsenal to prove himself in the much tougher Premier League, and having been compared in style to the great Ian Wright, he hopes that he can emulate the career of our very own Wrighty.

Lacazette told Arsenal.com: “I know about Ian Wright very well,” he said. “I’ve never seen him play but if I am compared to him that is great.

“If I have a career where fans think of me like they do about Ian Wright then I’ll be very happy.”

The Frenchman is obviously very impressed with the club and his team-mates, and he is hoping that with all these quality players alongside him, he can improve even further. “I have arrived at a very special club, a very good club who are very organised,” added Lacazette.

“With the other players in the team, there are very high levels so it is a great opportunity for me to improve.”

Having scored 37 goals in all competitions last season, i just hope he can do the same in his very first season, especially if Ozil and Alexis are slipping through balls to him in every game. For me he doesn’t need to improve, he just needs to carry on doing what he does best. Hitting the back of the net!

  1. Hope he does well for us. Every signing is a gamble but i am glad we took this one. He looks worth it. COYG

  2. “We need to be at our best to win the league.. ”
    Petr Cech.

I pray Lacazzette and the rest of our players will be at their best, we need the league.

  3. Alexis will work hard out there. Lacazette is known for being a hard worker. Ozil has no excuse now. He has Alexis and a top striker to pass to.

If we get Lemar then that will be the icing on the cake as far as our Attack goes.

We still need to lose a few players and strengthen our defense but Lacazette is a solution to a major problem area

  4. Lacazette will improve with our creative mid. I think our defense is covered only Def mid is the area to look may be.

  5. Two hours to kick off
Hopefully we will see Lacazette and Kolsanic play.

Also fun to see the academy players play too.

But don’t put too much into summer friendlies. Remember Sanogo scored 4 goals in one summer match a few years ago. 🙂

  6. Guys. Im having a feeling that if Chelsea get Aubemeyang, dortmund would come for Giroud. Our chances of winning the EPL will be tougher with Aubemeyang at Chelsea and Arsenal not having Giroud. We need to keep Giroud. We need height in attack. Those headed goals will be missed. His precision in goal. You need varieties to win the league. Lacazette alone wont win us the league. He would require settling in time. We should not put so much hopes on him hitting the ground.Laca coming in and Giroud going out is like taking a step forward and two steps backward. Wenger should keep Giroud. Welbeck to me is not dependable. He hardly plays half of the season. He is at best a squad member. His injury record and precision in front of goal is a worry. We have to win the league. We should look beyond a top four finish. Winning the league should be the priority.

    1. Let us not sell Giroud to BVB so at least Dortmund would have one replacement less for Aubameyang.

  7. Of topic. In my opinion, wenger should sit the ox in his office, and ask him what he wants..
Give him a payrise!, and sell walcot, that should give him a bit more game time.
