Lacazette on the move! Could he choose Arsenal?

Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that he will be leaving Lyon this summer, and will be able to choose which club he joins.

The French striker has earned the right to be considered one of the most consistent goalscorers on the continent, notching up over 20 league goals in each of his last three Ligue 1 campaigns, totalling a huge 74 Ligue 1 goals since the beginning of the 2014-15 season.

Lacazette has been linked with big money moves to Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in recent windows, while West Ham are also claimed to hold an interest in his signature. You can rule out any move to the latter…

He has been a regular in the transfer rumour mill over the past few seasons, and bids were even claimed to have been made last summer, and he has now revealed that this close-season is the time for him to move.

“I want to discover new things”, the 25-year-old said.

“I think it’s a good moment to leave, despite all the goals I’ve scored I am still not known in the European football panorama and I want to answer people’s demands.”

Asked whether his next club will be Ateltico Madrid, Lacazette replied: “It’s a team that always get until the end of the Champions League, I will chose my club that’s what the president of Lyon has told me as well. My heart will be forever in Lyon.”

He would be a great addition to our attacking line, providing he could settle in England, but I can’t see any reason why he would fail in the Premier League. Lacazette has a broad skill set, and I think he would improve any English team’s attack.

Could we persuade Lacazette to choose the Emirates as his new home? How much would we need to pay Lyon to part ways?
