Arsenal will have the chance to recall on starlet Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell at Leeds United in the January transfer window if these conditions aren’t met.
According to The Athletic (subscription required), Arsenal aren’t currently planning to recall talented youngster Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell at Leeds United in the January transfer window.
However, it’s added that the Gunners can bring back the starlet to north London if a certain performance-related condition is not met by the half-season stage.
Nketiah has been impressive this season, the ace has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances across all competitions for Leeds and England’s Under-21s.
Despite the forward’s fine form, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is yet to hand the talented youngster a start in the Championship – Chelsea academy graduate Patrick Bamford has been preferred to the ace.
This is surprising considering that Nketiah has actually scored more goals than his counterpart.
The 21-year-old has proved that he has a natural eye for goal in recent months, we need to make sure that we can make the most of his talents in the future.
The ace would be playing backup to Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if he was to be recalled in January.
Do you think we should allow him to develop at Leeds this season or bring him back to the Emirates and hope he gets a chance in the first-team?
