‘Credit to Edu’ – Liverpool boss Klopp heaps further praise on Arsenal ace Gabriel Martinelli

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has once more heaped praise on Arsenal starlet Gabriel Martinelli, the German reserved special praise for transfer chief Edu Gaspar for what seems to be a very rare find.

Jurgen Klopp has described Arsenal ace Gabriel Martinelli as ‘unbelievable’ and was impressed with how ‘mature’ the young forward is for an 18-year-old.

The Reds boss added that Liverpool’s scouting department is “all over the world” but credited Arsenal transfer chief Edu Gaspar for finding the Brazilian talent.

The German was speaking to Esporte ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Genk on Tuesday night.

The sky really is the limit for Martinelli at Arsenal, the ace already looks worth heaps more than the bargain price we paid this summer. talkSPORT claim that we secured the starlet’s services from Ituano for just £6m.

Take a look at what the Champions League winning boss had to say on our special prospect:

Martinelli has looked exceptional since joining this summer, the forward has managed to score 7 goals in just 4 appearances in cup competitions.

The talented Brazilian has featured four times in the Premier League, although these have all come by way of the bench.

Given Martinelli’s prolific form it would be nice to see Unai Emery hand the promising youngster the chance to start in a top-flight clash soon.

  1. Love the kid Martinelli, absolute gem. He seems to be better as a striker tho, and hopefully will be.

Continue sub appearances, a few starts, hopefully challenging for the starting ST role in 2 years.

Love to see how Enrique or Ten Haag could help him blossom into the star he seems destined to be.

Will he stay and be a legend, or be tempted by Barca or Real Madrid? Club should do everything to keep him.

    1. Agree think the lad has all the attributes to be a top player and a firm fans favourite. Let’s just not heap too much on the young man’s shoulders. Luckily the position he is vying for we actually have top quality. Anywhere else on the pitch the young lads body would be shattered as he would be playing every week!!

    2. He should be a striker.

I’ve never ever seen a winger who’s so spectacular with headers.
Lots of talented wingers around, but 18 year old strikers of Martinelli’s quality? 2? 3?

  2. Well, in Arsenal matchday no 4 in the Europa League match away to Victoria Guimaneas in Portugal next Wednesday night, all eyes more especially from us Gooners side will be on Martinelli to see if he’ll will once again rampage through the opposition Guimaneas defences again to score goals and give assist for Arsenal in the match as he did for them at the Ems a fortnight ago but if he’s started or played in the match by Emery. And hopefully too, the Gunners defending in the match will be stout and unbreachable to not allow the goals Martinelli and any other Arsenal players could score for the club in the match be cancel out by Guimaneas. The collection of the 12 maximum points from 4 matches must be the set goal achievement on Wednesday night at Guimaneas by Arsenal.

  3. Edu wanted to bring Everton Soares in as well, but we were packed with right-footed attackers already

I believe we would not get a CL ticket. If Aubameyang or Lacazette leaves because of this, Edu can bring a right-footed LW, either Soares or Zaha
