Man United v Arsenal Preview, Team News and betting odds – Back Arsenal to remain unbeaten!

So Arsenal have yet another crunch match to try and extend their unbeaten run to an amazing 20 games in a row in all competition. The Gunners may have an abysmal record at Old Trafford but there has probably never been a better time to play Jose Mourinho’s injury-ridden side.

I know we hardly ever hear Mourinho moaning about anything (!!) but he was in full swing this morning on the Man United website. He said: “If our game was today, I’d say Jones is not playing, Smalling is not playing and Bailly is not playing but we will have to wait,”

“Valencia is not playing. Shaw is a doubt. Darmian is back, but I have to wait. Of course, Lindelof is out of the question.”

“Against Southampton, three hours before the game I didn’t know the team that is going to play, so nobody knew the team and ourselves, we didn’t know,”

“We were waiting and waiting and waiting to see who could, who couldn’t, and I think we are going to be in a similar situation this time.”

And don’t forget Ashley Young is suspended so there will not be a lot of Man United defenders around.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are unlikely to have Nacho Monreal ready but Kolasinac is filling in brilliantly at the moment so that’s not a problem, but Xhaka is out through suspension. I know we have more than enough midfielders (although god knows what is happening with Ozil’s ‘bad back’. Will he even be at the match?), but Xhaka’s partnership with Torreira is going very well. Maybe Guendouzi will fit in just as well?

All this info makes me think that Arsenal are going to keep their unbeaten run. Arsenal +1 (which means Win or Draw) is 1.50 with 138.com. This looks like a very good banker to me….

Another extremely good bet is for both teams to score. United have conceded in 5 of their last 6 home games and Arsenal have scored in every single League game since the opening defeat to Man City. Does that sound like a banker? Both Teams to score is also 1.50 with 138.com.

A good bet at a better price for me is this. Arsenal have scored 16 goals in their 6 away games in the League. That is nearly three goals a game. And with United having little or no defence, I am happy to take the 7/2 from 138.com on the Gunners scoring 3.

What do you think?

  1. I know your game Jose, a ploy to make Arsenal boys relax and underrate Man u….. Am glad this is Unai and not….. (you know who?). Common boys.

  2. My KNOWLEDGEABLE advice to amateur punters on here is don’t touch this type of betting at all. In fact, UNLESS you can be totally honest with yourself about our own club’s strengths and weaknesses and are prepared to do thorough research into all the various factors, which takes time if properly done , do not bet on Arsenal or anyone else at all. If you have to however, use Betfair, where you can both back and lay the same game in running. Only PROFESSIONAL BETTORS EVER MAKE CONSISTENT MONEY FROM BETTING.
