Manchester City could beat Arsenal to Serie A goal machine

Dusan Vlahovic is the striker a number of top European clubs want to sign, including Arsenal.

The Serbian has been in stunning goal-scoring form in 2021 and this would likely be his last season as a Fiorentina player.

Express Sport maintains that Arsenal is very interested in a move for him as the Gunners look to bolster their options further at the Emirates.

However, the competition for his signature is serious and it would take a lot for the Gunners to win the race.

In a recent update on his future from Todofichajes, Manchester City could beat the Gunners to his signature.

The Premier League champions wanted to sign Harry Kane in the summer, but that transfer never happened.

As the England captain struggles for form this season, it seems City has now made Vlahovic a priority instead.

The deal might not happen next month, but even in the summer, it is difficult to see Arsenal beating Pep Guardiola’s side to his signature.

Just Arsenal Opinion

Vlahovic is a wanted man and it might be smart for Arsenal to focus its attention on signing alternative strikers.

However, the best clubs have to back themselves to out-compete others for valuable targets.

If Mikel Arteta is convinced the Serbian is his man, then Arsenal should do all it can to make the transfer happen.

  1. Emmanuel Dennis of Watford is as good and already doing well in the PL with a modest club. he could shine at Arsenal with our youngsters

  2. Vlahovic is not interested in coming to Arsenal. We should go for either DCL, Isaak or Duwen Zapata.

  3. This is the type of striker we have been missing for a long time, big, strong ,ruthless, good in the air, reminds me a lot of Drogba in his prime,a pure goal score machine, imagine linkin up with Martinelli,Saka and maybe kulusevski, that would be a good front to take us to the next level, I am still surprised we’re not solidly looking at Manor Solomon.

    1. He is not interested in coming here. and if we pay over the top to bring him in, his mind wont be here as well.

There is no point going for him.

We should get a striker from the Premier league. Raheem Sterling is my preferred choice.

Give Lacazette a 2 year extension.

Send Aubameyang to Barca in January on loan.

I would rather we have Martinelli, Sterling, Lacazette as our striking Options for next season.

And add Asensio as an option on the right.

  4. Arsenal must buy a quality striker and at least a defensive midfielder too in the January transfer window,to strengthen the team and keep their top four spot to the finish. While Vlahovic (Florientina value 68m pounds) seems top notch and would be a great deal if done, he has not shown interest in joining Arsenal, who need to strengthen the midfield also. Therefore, Arsenal should seriously consider other options and buy Brazilian striker Arthur Cabral, who has the combined qualities of Aubameyang and Lacazette. He has 14 goals and 4 assists in in only 17 super league games this season for Basel. His TM value is 13m pounds. Defensive midfielder Boubacar Kamara (22yrs.old)TM value is 17m pounds , is one of the best in Europe now. And there is creative attacking midfielder that scores goals and provides assist like Dominik Szoboszlai, Arsenal should buy. His TM value is 21m pounds. So, instead of spending between 68-80m pounds for Vlahovic only , Arsenal can buy these three players and strengthen the team in three different positions rather than the one striker’s position. But, Arsenal must also sell players like Torriera, Mari, Kolasinac, Nketiah, Guendouzi, Elneny, Chambers and Aubameyang in the January transfer window for anything they can get to lower the wage bill and help fund the acquisition of the three players needed.

  5. I see no sense in chasing a player (vlahovic), that doesn’t what to come. I prefer having Ollie Watskin of Aston villa, a good striker, and like he is also a big fan of the club (arsenal). We only want players who are ready to play for the shirt and as well see playing for
Arsenal as a dream come true. That is what I can evidently see in Tomiyasu, he sees playing for the club as a dream come true. Let’s stop pursuing the signature of uninterested players, bring in those who are rather passionate to play for AFC. Do I even make any sense, atall??đŸ¤”**** I suppose, I do.
