The much-maligned Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has been called many things by Arsenal fans, from Donkey to SuperSub, but there is no denying the fact that he has been banging in a respectable amount of goals for the Gunners ever since he arrived.
So let’s just sit back and watch all 100 of his goals for Arsenal, and hopefully everyone will realise that he is not such a waste of space after all.
Give credit where it’s due, he scored that 100 in one game faster than Robin Van Persie, who many fans think that Wenger never brought in an adequate replacement for the Dutchman. What do we think now?

Van Persie would have given Arsenal more than that if he was not used as a left winger for many years. Van Persie could not be the main striker at that time, because there was Thierry Henry and Adebayor.
Eduardo got hit by a severe injury and he is too short for playing as a main striker in Arsenal’s system. If he played under Guardiola’s system, he could be more prolific.
Bendtner, Adebayor and Chamakh are tall, but they are not as strong as Giroud and they were not able to score with their head consistently.

We fans sometimes under-appreciate our loyal players and take them for granted, we easily forget how to appreciate their loyalty….
Players like Giroud, Ramsey, Kos,,Monreal to name a few are fantastically loyal to the club and everytime they fail to perform we quickly forget everything they have done….
Giroud in this case is a fighter, a true professional, hardworking and always does his best for the club yet he is always bashed.
Sometimes I feel its our tactics that hampers some of our players…
For example, against Chelsea Ramsey was suddenly disciplined and wasn’t bombing forward why??
I believe he was told to do so, which means Wenger supports his attacking nature
With Giroud, we rarely play to his strengths and yet we blame him….he guarantees goals if we play to his strength…
Loyality would depend on how sought-after the player is in the market. But I really appreciate the players that are willing to work hard, defend and pressurize the opponents along with their teammates. Like Monreal.
Giroud would guarantee goals if Arsenal have skillful players like Mbappe, Dembele, Matuidi, Kurzawa, Umtiti, Coman, Payet and Kante. That is why a new skillful player or more is needed in the next transfer window.
I really appreciate what Giroud has done to Arsenal. He has saved Arsenal many times with his headers as a substitute.
But let’s face the reality, his movements and skills are limited. I don’t think he will be consistently selected in France national football team, if he is not one of Arsenal main strikers.
I am sure he will keep saving Arsenal from the bench with his headers in this season. He could help Arsenal to play more pragmatically if the opponent’s defense is too difficult to be unlocked.
He helped us stay in the Top 4 for several seasons and helped us win 3 FA Cups with his 100 goals
I do not appreciate those fans who do not appreciate Giroud.

Congrats to Giroud, he has been a real loyal and humble servant for arsenal, long may he continue scoring for us. It would have been a lot more goals if arsenal played with good wide crossers of the ball
Atleast Adebayor scored more than 25 goals in 1 season. Giroud score a maximum of 16 in a season. Arsenal is where it is because people like you appreciate sub-standard performance. Giroud, Ramsey, and Ozil are where they are because Wenger always gives them a chance. Even if they are sold to EPL teams are wont mind, because they cant hurt Arsenal in any way
