Next 3 games to see Arsenal right back in EPL title race?

If Arsenal do as we expect them to this weekend and run out as winners of the home game against a struggling Southampton side getting used to their new manager Claude Puel, while he gets used to the English Premier League for the first time, then we will be heading into the next round of matches a bit closer to at least one of our big spending Premier League rivals.

That is because of the Manchester derby meaning that both City and United cannot keep up their 100 percent record and hopefully it will be a draw meaning that both drop points. After that it would be great to see Swansea hit some form and take points of the other front runner Chelsea. The Welsh club are at home and have done well against big clubs plenty of times in the past but I am not holding my breath.

Chelsea´s next game after is against Liverpool, while Arsenal´s opponents will be Hull City, so hopefully we can bridge the gap to Antonio Conte´s team as well.

The same weekend United have an early kick off away to Watford after their first Europa League match on the Thursday and it is an away clash with the Dutch club Feyenoord and you can easily imagine that this could be a tough few days for them.

Then in the third EPL game after the international break we see Chelsea come to Arsenal, with City going to Swansea and United hosting the champions Leicester City and it is not inconceivable that after that weekend the Gunners will be right up there with our rivals for the Premier League title, where we are supposed to be!

    1. Yea and what will be key for us is taking points away from the top teams only then can we dream of a epl title

  1. I agree Arsenal Girl, but we have to admit that our opening games have been a lot tougher than City, United and Chelseas. We’ll catch up very quickly I’m sure.

  2. I think a 2-0 win Vs Southampton today will be a good start with one or both Manc teams likely to drop points. I have to be honest and say i cannot see Swansea getting anything from their game with Chelsea but hope i’m wrong. Chelsea could drop points Vs Liverpool while we play Hull City the following weekend in a game we should win but usually proves difficult for us and Man Utd will have an easy win at Watford while Man City host Bournmouth for another three points. Then we come to our derby game Vs Chelsea, always difficult for us over recent seasons but this year may be different, Chelsea have a new manager and have started well in the league while we have brought in new players who will hopefully prove themselves in this contest to give us victory. Man City Vs Swansea away could prove difficult for City but the realist in me says a City win and Man Utd are a different prospect this season and should beat Leicester though again i hope i’m wrong on both counts.
