OFFICIAL Arsenal team and preview of Watford away – NO Alexis!!

It is vital for Arsenal to carry on where we left off before the latest international break and I am sure that Arsene Wenger will have been making that point as often as possible to the Arsenal players. The boss and the lads will have been heartened with the perfect result of a draw between two of our main Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United earlier but they now have to make it count.

Wenger has had the boost of getting a few players back from the treatment room but has also lost one of his first choice defenders after Mustafi did his hamstring playing for Germany, and with some of the Arsenal stars coming back late or in a poor state of mind after their World Cup hopes were dashed this was always going to be a tough selection job for the Frenchman.

Cech
Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal
Bellerin, Xhaka, Elneny, Kolasinac
Iwobi, Lacazette, Welbeck

subs: Ospina, Holding, Coquelin, Ozil, Wilshere, Walcott, Giroud.

So Wenger clearly feels that the failure of Wales and Chile to qualify for Russia has had a negative effect as neither Ramsey or Alexis Sanchez is in the squad never mind the starting XI. The good news is that Kolasinac is better after his hip problem so Arsenal can stick with the same sort of system.

What do you think of the Arsenal team Gooners?
