Old pals act helping Arsenal beat EPL rivals to midfield star’s transfer

According to reports this promising young player is going to be a real star of the future and at 19-years old Riechedly Bazoer is already a mainstay of the central midfield at the Dutch club Ajax. And according to The Mirror there is going to be a transfer battle for him in the summer, with Arsenal one of the clubs being linked along with our Premier League rivals Man City and Chelsea.

Bazoer is being compared to the former Holland star Frank Rijkaard because of his playing style and with a powerful physique and his 6ft frame the young star looks perfect for the English game. But with Pep Guardiola apparently keen on taking him to the Etihad as he begins his new job in the summer, Arsenal fans might already be thinking we may as well forget signing this young talent.

Maybe not though, because at Ajax we and more specifically Arsene Wenger will have a sympathetic ear. Because a certain former Arsenal star by the name of Dennis Bergkamp is the assistant manager there under Frank de Boer and if Bazoer was to get any advice on whether to play for the Gunners or under Arsene Wenger then I am sure that Begkamp would have nothing but good things to tell him.

But will this connection between Wenger and Bergkamp be enough for Arsenal to win this transfer battle?

  1. Maybe we can get Frank & Dennis from Ajax. A much bigger favour!

So we should be ready to compete in 2024 then!

  2. They said the same thing about Martin Odegaard. Where’s he now? Somewhere between Real Madrid B, the eternal warm bench, and the exit door.

    1. Yes there are thousands
      probably millions of teenage
footballers all set to be the
      next best thing. Arsenal already
has Zelalem Gnabry Akpom Niles Adelaide
the two Nigerians Iwobi Vlad Bielik
all touted to be super stars.
      We’ll see I guess.
And of course Wellbeck Walcott Chamberlain
Wilshere + Sanogo were bought because
they were all going to be world class.
3,6,7,8,10 years later they are all world class
well in the bank balance department.

      1. In life there are successes and failures. You only mention failures. Remember Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahamovic (that we rejected then) our Hector B. Rooney etc. They were all bought young. Sometimes gambling pays and sometimes, it doesn’t pay.

  3. I think this was the same article that was written about Bielik. Just that the name of the coaches and team name were changed. Everything else is the same.

  4. When I first got wind of this player it was Patrick Vieira who he was likened to. Got me a little interested must admit. He looked physically similar too from when big Pat was his age. To be honest, more often than not players will go with Pep over Wenger, but if it is a youth player then I’m not so certain. How many youths did leave Barca? and we even got some of them. Goetze chose Pep and that bit him in the ass. Pep is not great at bringing through youth players, well he’s not esp known for it. Whereas Wenger is. Also our area is crying out for a no nonsense second option who might find his chances vying with Coq as good. City are going to get whoever Pep wants but I think he will target an established player with 90% possession and 90% accuracy. This kid, to be honest I think our biggest threat would have been Van Gaal, the Dutch connection. I also think Klopp will rival us if there is truth to the article, for some reason they have similar designs on many players over the years and even before Klopp Liverpool used to try and hijack our deals. Also whenever a team believes Wenger is targeting the next Vieira or Henry allot of more clubs get interested, like chelsea PSG Juventus Napoli and so on. I like what I’ve read of the lad, but admit, I have not seen him play. I will look him up and get a better idea, if he looks like a young Rijkaard well then I want us to get him , if he looks like a young Vieira ..well then we better get him.
