One bold prediction for Arsenal game v Watford

Arsenal travels to Vicarage Road on Sunday to face off against struggling Watford and there could be one big surprise for Arsenal fans.

I am predicting that we will see Rob Holding named in the matchday squad and an outside chance of him seeing action late on, though that depends on how the game is going.

Holding has been sidelined since suffering a serious knee injury last December against Man Utd and has fought his way back to full fitness, he has already featured numerous times for the U23 side and is back in full training with the senior team.

Arsenal will be careful with the 23-year-old, they will not rush him back and a start this weekend is out of the question but inclusion in the matchday squad is a strong possibility.

It has felt like he has been injured forever and with Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney also sidelined it has been frustrating to see so many quality defenders out while the first team has struggled defensively.

It is still early days but seeing the young centre-back on the verge of being called up to the senior team is a massive boost, not just for the player and club but for the fans as well.

Long term injuries aside, Unai Emery will have a full-strength squad to choose from, all players have returned from international duty injury-free according to the club, though there will be last-minute assessments on certain players including Nicolas Pepe, who has been focussing on regaining full fitness.
