While Arsenal fans should not have given up hope of the Premier League title yet, just because two defeats have left us with a nine point gap to make up on Chelsea, we could really do with someone halting the momentum of Antonio Conte´s side as soon as possible.
At the same time we are all very much aware that the Gunners must go on a winning run ourselves. Unfortunately for Arsene Wenger he is having to cope with the usual lengthy Arsenal injury list, so any positive news on that front is very welcome and when it is about a player in form as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been of late it is an even bigger boost.
I for one was a worried Gooner after the Ox picked up a hamstring problem during the defeat at Man City as it could have kept him out for weeks and there would be no guarantee he would come back in the same form, but with the Evening Standard reporting that he will be back in action as soon as the home game against Crystal Palace on new years day, we should have no such problem.
That extra attacking option could prove crucial as Arsenal seek to get back to winning ways and stay there, so is this injury news just the christmas present Arsenal needed?
