It is certainly going to be very interesting to see which Arsenal team Arsene Wenger will pick to face Everton tomorrow evening. Wenger has told us this morning that Aubameyang has caught a bug since his arrival in England (probably from Jack Wilshere!) and is unlikely to make his debut. “I have to assess how well he is physically today and how well he feels,” said Wenger.
“He had a fever, so he could not practice a lot. He started yesterday, but was still not completely well.
“I have to assess with the medical department how fit he can be.”
But Jack himself should have recovered from his bout of sickness and hopefully can return to the starting line-up, and our other new signing Mikhi played for half an hour at Swansea in midweek and should make his full debut tomorrow.
Wenger returned to playing four at the back against Swansea (with disastrous consequences, so I think he will return to the wing back system against Everton, and hopefully we won’t make so many schoolboy errors this time….

Cech, and Xhaka have been given far too many opportunities. Time to drop them, and sell in the summer.
None of our keepers are good enough. Ospina makes unnecessary silly mistakes quite often too.
Hopefully we’ll get a new keeper in the summer. But Cech definitely should be dropped, and has still never saved a pen for us!

Petr is still better than Ospina, though.
Both make occasional mistakes, but Ospina is one of the shortest top level keepers and it shows. Cech was excellent for the first third of the season, made only 1 minor mistake. Ospina made a couple of mistakes in his first 3 or 4 games!!
I wish we could get the Slovenian keeper Yan Oblak from Atletico. Though, being rated as either the best or 2nd best in the world I can’t see that happening.
Arsenal will play at the Emirates, so I don’t think they would use the defensive 3-4-2-1. I think they will use the usual 4-1-2-2-1:

I like first formation the best. Because with Ozil and Mkhit I reckon you’d need a third CM against a good side. They’ll be set up to counter attack and Walcott will want to do well.
Cech needs to be dropped.
Totally agree he has made too many schoolboy mistakes which have cost us points. I think Wenger plays him so he can try to keep his record of clean sheets but there is no room for sentiment in the game it should be about winning.
I think you have not watched Ospina in the EL or the local cups… Horrible. Even Fabianski was better (unless it was a big game).

Mkhitaryan and Maitland-Niles would be explosive that way, because Mkhitaryan can use his stronger right leg to dribble in the right wing and we all know Maitland-Niles’s skills and pace when he played as a left wingback. But that setup will make them true wingers, not inverted ones
I wonder how many games does it take for people like you to realise that Xhaka can’t play at DM position. Elneny is much better there.
@Alex We just don’t have anyone we could trust to sit in front of the back four so why not Xhaka? or yes Elneny why not i like his work rate and he dose as his told and keeps his position
Totally agree. Xhaka should never appear anywhere near the holding midfield position. Just look how he watched as Swansea scored the 2nd goal !
Why not Kolasinac as a DM; he has experience in the position at Shalka. That way both Kolasinac and Moreal play.

Xhaka could be decent, though. If he was faster, smarter, and not so lazy. lol

You’re not wrong it annoys me to see spurs for example taking off dembele to bring on wanyamma two dm players and we’ve not got one now truly.
There’s never really fierce competition for places in our sqaud as the team generally picks itself where as the likes of city and MU have same quality coming off the bench.
Interested to see how our wingers will get on this year having lost 3 of ours in 2 windows ox walcott and sanchez.
Totally agree with you Ronny but what wingers do we have? I have just watched the recently posted video of Auba’s Goals this season and the 31 he scored last season, most of his goals came via crosses/cut backs into the box from the wings. We don’t do crossing, just keep trying to walk it in. It bloody infuriates me that Kala never crosses and Bella over hits them. We could do with someone like Walcott…… oh, oops, yeah……..
