Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang not committed to Arsenal long term claims report

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will wait for Barcelona move before considering new Arsenal deal.

Arsenal may be set to lose their top scorer Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in the not-so-distant future as the Gabonese striker looks to play in the Champions League again.

Aubameyang has been arguably Arsenal’s most impressive player since he joined the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund, however, his 40 goals in 60 league games have still not returned the Gunners to the Champions League.

The newly-appointed captain had spoken about the frustration of the team not keeping clean sheets earlier in the season and he may be looking to leave now.

Reports from Spanish media outlet Sport is claiming that Aubameyang won’t consider a new deal from Arsenal until he has waited for Barcelona.

The same report also claims Barcelona know that Luis Suarez is in the twilight of his career and they are already looking for another attacker that would play alongside Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.

Aubameyang won the Premier League Golden Boot, last season and is also the Gunners top scorer in the league so far this season with eight goals.

Well, that is the speculation covered and to some extent, it does make sense. Aubameyang is two years younger than Suarez and would be a fairly cheap option if you consider his contract would only have one year left on it in the summer.

I do not blame Auba for taking this position, I probably would do the same considering the circumstances.

But it does not get away from the fact that he is clearly not as committed to the club as we would wish. That is not a criticism, just a fact.
