Predicted Arsenal line-up to face Vitoria in Europa League

Alexandre Lacazette to lead the line against Vitoria.

Here we go again trying to guess what team Unai Emery will put out. The Spaniard has a habit of surprising us all with his selections and he may just do that again today.

Martinez in goal is a given and the defence is fairly easy to call with Kolasinac, Bellerin, Mustafi and Holding. The midfield though is always tricky.

I am confident that Willock and Torreira will feature in the middle with Maitland-Niles and Smith Rowe also likely to start. However, Emery being Emery could go with a completely different midfield.

Upfront Martinelli is a guarantee and then it is down to whether Emery starts Saka, Pepe or Lacazette. For me, he will start Lacazette.

So, this is my predicted lineup

Smith Rowe

Now, Emery could easily play Maitland-Niles at right-back instead of Bellerin. He could easily pick Ceballos and Pepe.

The manager could try a front three of Saka, Nelson and Martinelli and so on but I am convinced he will play some of the big names because of their experience and because Emery simply cannot afford to lose this game. He absolutely needs a good performance from the team.

So, that is my predicted lineup, I only got eight right last time, hopefully, will get close to eleven right today.

What team do you think that Emery will go with today against the Portuguese opponents? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. GunneRay says:

I hope Pepe starts with Martinelli up front. These two could become a attacking force!!

But then again, Emery always has diferent ideas! 🙁

  2. S.J says:

Emile Smith-Rowe is not in the traveling squad.

    My predicted line up.

    Saka, Ceballos, A. M-Niles…

    Willock, Torreira…

    Kolasinac, Holding, Mustafi, Bellerin…
