Proof that Wenger and Arsenal HAVE changed transfer mindset?

I know that a lot of Arsenal fans are starting to get a bit nervous about the fact that we are still waiting for the second signing of the summer after the early announcement that the admittedly highly rated Bosnian international Sead Kolasinac was coming to us from Schalke.

I know that because I have the same feeling myself and when you start to consider the fact that our club has spent the grand total of bugger all so far, as the young defender signed on a free transfer, it is easy to start rolling your eyes and thinking that this is going to be the same old story.

Maybe not though, and even though I finally lost patience with Arsene Wenger last season I still cannot see him ignoring all the pressure and protests. There are always a lot of Arsenal transfer rumours, of course, but having written more articles about them than many people have read I do get the impression that the Frenchman means business this summer.

He may still fail in his attempt to sign Kylian Mbappe or Alexandre Lacazette but for a change it will not be through lack of trying. I could be wrong, but one recent nugget of Arsenal transfer news backs up my theory. Did you see the comments from FC Barcelona about their attempt to sign Bellerin?

They were shocked at how stubborn and unmovable Wenger had been because in the past they had always at least been able to negotiate. This time he is apparently having nothing to do with them and so they have just about given up. Now if that is true it must bode well for Arsenal don’t you think? Has Le Prof changed and if he has will it finally be the year Arsenal get back to doing what we did in his first decade as manager?
