Pundit sees a problem with Pochettino and Arsenal coach joking after 2-2 draw

Pundit Richard Keys suggests that Mauricio Pochettino should have been more frustrated about Chelsea dropping two points against Arsenal on Saturday, rather than engaging in light-hearted banter with an Arsenal coach.

In the match, Arsenal managed to stage a comeback from being two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against Chelsea, even though Mikel Arteta’s side seemed less strong on that day.

Arsenal has had a commendable season and received praise for their performances before the international break, including a victory against Manchester City.

Conversely, Chelsea, though having a slow start to the season, has shown signs of improvement. This is one of the reasons why the game was seen as a tricky one for Arsenal.

Chelsea began the game strongly and established a two-goal lead in the early stages of the second half. However, Arsenal displayed resilience and managed to level the score.

After the match, there was an exchange of friendly banter between Pochettino and Arsenal’s goalkeeping coach, Terry Mason.

Keys did not find it ideal and said, as quoted by the Daily Mail:

‘Am I the only one that’s got a problem with this?

‘You’re the manager of a side two up that’s cruising until you keeper hands a way back into the game to the opposition and you leave the field smiling and joking with the opposition goalkeeping coach.’

Just Arsenal Opinion

The game between both clubs is always a tough affair as we share a serious rivalry, but that does not mean we should not shake hands after the final whistle.
