Real Madrid weighing up making a swap offer for Arsenal star

Real Madrid considering using James Rodriguez as a sweetener to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal may have dealt with the problem of an underperforming manager, but the Gunners still have a battle on their hands to keep hold of their best players if their performances do not improve.

Reports from Calciomercato claims that Real Madrid are serious about their interest in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and they are looking to add James Rodriguez as part of the deal to bring the Gabonese attacker to the Bernabeu.

Rodriguez returned to Madrid this season after two seasons out on-loan at Bayern Munich who decided against signing him permanently.

The midfielder has never been trusted by Zinedine Zidane and the French manager is reportedly ready to offer him to Arsenal so he can land Aubameyang.

Barcelona is also interested in signing Aubameyang but Los Merengues hope that they can beat them to his signature.

Aubameyang has been unsettled at the Emirates this season following the team’s poor run of form.

The Report further claims that the former Borussia Dortmund attacker believes he should be playing in the Champions League.

Arsenal’s failure to qualify for the next Champions League could force him to ask for a move away.

Arsenal are already eight points behind the top four and desperately need a positive run of form to get back into the reckoning.

  1. Don’t shoot me Gooners! Auba hasn’t signed a new contract, with Rodriguez in midfield ,we do have a young Martinelli to take over and of course Lacca stays if Auba goes.
Worth a thought but would love Auba to resign.

    1. Chalk and cheese. Rodriguez and Auba. Auba is worth 3 Rodriguez. Whether it’s Freddie or a new manager like Rogers or Allegri, Arsenal will be a fresher more energized team, so why sell Auba when he has another top 3 years ahead of him?

      1. Because if he is not renewing, he will go anyways and we have to make best use of the situation. We will still have Laca, Martinelli and Eddie, If not enough, we can recruit.

  2. I honestly don’t want.RODRIGUEZ if he is no good for Bayern he is not for us we don’t want somebody’s cast-offs

  3. James is busted flush, no thanks. I’d take Casermiro DM as a swap, otherwise please tell them £50-£60 million if they want him.

  4. Auba not extending has been made official, as Arsenal Kroenke club to sell players with one year left after this season as Auba.

He is officially for sell and why such teams openly approaching him with clear intention to jump on opportunity! He is a killer striker, top 5 or 3 in the world! He has nothing to do at this Arsenal nor Laca, they were nice to stay last year but waisting their talent and time, not being 21 anymore, they won’t get so many opportunities if not taking it now, specially Auba. We want to see him in CL late stages!
We do have options and can use this money to secure Koulibaly Napoli okay to sell him and wants Torreira. This would be a win then!

    Cheers!

  5. NO. If Auba wants to leave sell him and sell a few CBs we have, and sell the souls of Raul and Kroenke to the devil if it takes, and get Koulibaly. For the next season I want to see, Saliba and Koulibaly to start.
