Real Madrid weighing up making a swap offer for Arsenal star

Real Madrid considering using James Rodriguez as a sweetener to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal may have dealt with the problem of an underperforming manager, but the Gunners still have a battle on their hands to keep hold of their best players if their performances do not improve.

Reports from Calciomercato claims that Real Madrid are serious about their interest in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and they are looking to add James Rodriguez as part of the deal to bring the Gabonese attacker to the Bernabeu.

Rodriguez returned to Madrid this season after two seasons out on-loan at Bayern Munich who decided against signing him permanently.

The midfielder has never been trusted by Zinedine Zidane and the French manager is reportedly ready to offer him to Arsenal so he can land Aubameyang.

Barcelona is also interested in signing Aubameyang but Los Merengues hope that they can beat them to his signature.

Aubameyang has been unsettled at the Emirates this season following the team’s poor run of form.

The Report further claims that the former Borussia Dortmund attacker believes he should be playing in the Champions League.

Arsenal’s failure to qualify for the next Champions League could force him to ask for a move away.

Arsenal are already eight points behind the top four and desperately need a positive run of form to get back into the reckoning.
