Serie A striker now wants EPL but do Arsenal STILL want him?

I can remember Arsenal being linked with this Serie A striker when he was just making a name for himself at the age of 17 after breaking through into the first team of the French club Caen after three years in the youth system. In fact M’Baye Niang actually came to us and Premier League rivals Tottenham and Everton for a trial in the summer of 2012 but he ended up signing for the Italian club AC Milan instead.

According to a Metro report this week he very nearly did sign for Arsenal back then, as Niang himself has revealed that Caen had accepted an offer from Arsenal. The reason he did not become a Gunner, apparently, was because he made the decision to go to Milan.

While the 21-year old Frenchman, who already has five goals to his name this season, does not say that he regrets that decision, he does sound like a man trying to get a move to the English Premier League in the very near future.

Niang said, ‘The Premier League could’ve been the right football for me and I hope one day it will be. Playing there is my dream as it suits my style of play.

‘I could’ve been there twice already. The first was when I chose Milan, even if Caen had already accepted offers from Arsenal and Everton (in 2012).

‘The second was in January, two or three days before the derby (with Inter Milan).

‘My agent called and said Leicester had made an offer to Milan, but the club didn’t want me to go.’

The Milan star has been compared to Mario Balotelli for his syle of play but also because his behaviour off the pitch has hit the headlines for the wrong reason, but do you think Arsenal should go back for him now that he wants to play in England?
