SHOCK for Spurs as Arsenal set to replace Szczesny with Lloris?

Arsenal are looking good to complete our usual job of finishing above north London rivals Tottenham in the Premier League, as we have done every season since Arsene Wenger took over as manager 18 years ago. And as well as sticking that particular knife in, we could give it a good twist by completing a stunning transfer swoop for their keeper Hugo Lloris.

Another season out of the Champions League for the spuds will certainly help to convince the France international number one that his career would be much better off down the road at the Emirates stadium with the Gunners, where he would also join up with international team mates like Mathieu Debuchy, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud. Playing regularly with two of the France back four could also help Lloris at international level.

A Metro report reveals that Wojciech Szczesny may have just a few months to convince Arsene Wenger that he is worth keeping at the club he joined as a teenager back in 2006. But with David Ospina having grabbed the first choice spot and showing no signs of giving it up, it will be difficult for the Poland number one.

And I can’t see Szczesny being happy to play second fiddle to anyone. The performances of David De Gea for Man United and Thibaut Courtois for Chelsea have shown just what a really top class stopper can do for a team and Wenger apparently sees Lloris as the keeper to do the same for Arsenal.

Can you see this transfer happening Gooners?
