Should Arsenal give up on Cech and move for Hart?

Petr Cech has come under fire from Arsenal fans in recent weeks, and we are now being linked with a move to sign Joe Hart from Manchester City.

The England Number One was discarded by new City boss Pep Guardiola at the start of the season, supposedly because of his distribution, and has spent the majority of the term on loan with Torino in Serie A.

We are now claimed to be in line to fight Liverpool for his signature, while their need for a top goalkeeper is ultimately much higher than ours.

Petr Cech and David Ospina are both ‘World Class‘ according to Arsene Wenger, but he has clear favour of the Czech goalkeeper over his rival, and the former Chelsea star’s record speaks for itself, having the most Premier League clean sheets ever as well as achieving 100 PL clean sheets in the shortest appearances.

Some fans have moved to Social Media to ridicule Cech following the defeats to Watford and Chelsea, and there is nothing to defend about the concessions against the latter.

Joe Hart has proved to be a top goalkeeper over the years and at only 29, still has his prime to come, Man City’s boss Pep was certainly quick to overlook him, and his decision to bring Claudio Bravo in could not have gone any worse.

I firmly expect the Citizens to be looking at bringing in another top goalkeeper in the summer, with the relationship unlikely to be reconciled in my opinion, but whether City would allow him to strengthen a rival is yet to seen.

Would Hart be the ideal replacement for Cech? Is the English shot-stopper better than Ospina, Cech and Wojciech Szczesny?
