Should Arsenal sell Ramsey abroad now – or wait for Chelsea or Man Utd in January?

The Aaron Ramsey saga just seems to rumble on with all signs pointing to Arsenal resigning themselves to letting the Welshman run down his contract for the next 11 months, after reports say that there is still no progress on a new deal.

The Express reports today…..

ARSENAL have reportedly failed to make any progress with a potential new contract for Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey’s current deal expires next summer with the Gunners keen to tie the Welsh midfielder to the club.

As it stands, Ramsey can talk to other clubs in January with Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea believed to be keen on the 27-year-old.

It’s been claimed that Ramsey is after a significant increase on his current £110,000 per week package at the Emirates.

They state above that Ramsey can talk to other clubs in January, but he can NOT talk to Man United or Chelsea until the end of the season according to Premier League rules, but he can talk to foreign clubs. It is Chelsea and United that are the clubs most rumoured to be interested, and Liverpool have also been mentioned a few times. They are certainly the three EPL clubs that are most likely to pay astronomical wages…

But let’s be honest here for a moment. They may have the cash, but who would Mourinho or Klopp or Sarri, or anyone for that matter, think that Ramsey would be worth as much as another world class midfielder? And then again, who would Liverpool, Chelsea or Man United drop because they think Ramsey is a better player? These rumours make very little sense to me.

I think if we can get anyone to pay big money to take him off our hands then we should grab the cash and say ‘Good Luck!’ Then we will see if he could becoe a regular at any other top team shall we?
