Some GOOD Arsenal injury news for a change!

Today’s pre-mach press conference has been nothing but bad news on Arsenal’s injury front ahead of our trip to Sunderland tomorrow, with the news that Lucas Perez is out for 6-8 weeks, and we are awaiting last minute fitness tests on Cazorla, Walcott and Monreal.

But there is one bit of good injury news today. Jack Wilshere hasn’t got one! According to the Bournemouth manager Don Howe he is getting better all the time. “I think he’s an outstanding footballer and I was delighted to see him play 90 minutes.” Howe said. “It’s a big moment for him, no doubt. And a big moment for us because we want Jack performing at his very best levels and I think if he is then we are going to be a lot better team for that.

“I think he’s improving with every game and in training as well he has been great around the squad so it has been beneficial for both parties so far.”

It is a great start to theseason for Jack, and we will all be praying that he can continue his improvement all the way to the end of the season. He will be starting again tomorrow when the Cherries travel up to Middlesbrough, who abruptly stopped our own winning run last week, but Howe is cautiously confident.

He said: “Football is an amazing game, last season we did really well away from home and struggled at home and in the early stages of this season it’s kind of been reversed.

“But it’s still early days and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with our away performances. At Watford arguably we should have won and Crystal Palace we were seconds away from winning.

“We’ve had some tough games apart from that but I think it’s in our hands and we can change that if we really believe we can, we’re making progress.”

If Jack can maintain his progress he could be a real help to Bournemouth’s efforts to remain in the Premier League this season. Taking a point off Tottenham was a great boost and let’s hope he comes back to us next season in fine fettle!

  1. This is good news for Bournemouth. I don’t see how it is good news for Arsenal. I’m not even sure that Wilshere will come back to us next season. Are you?

Are you seriously serious with this article.

    1. I disagree. I think this WOULD be good news for Arsenal if Wilshere had have stayed with us and could stay injury free for the whole season, but he hasn’t. Maybe it could have been called – Some good injury news for England!

  3. I think you’ll find the Bournemouth manager is EDDIE Howe. Understandable mistake for gooners of a certain age!
