Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Arsenal future is uncertain after he lost the club’s captaincy.
Although he is the club’s highest-paid player and top goal-scorer in this campaign, his poor decision making is a problem.
His form hasn’t been at its best and he will now fight for a place on the team with the club’s other attackers.
However, another club could hand him an opportunity to revive his career as The Independent says Barcelona is interested in a move for him.
The Catalans need a striker as they attempt to bounce back in the second half of this season and have identified Auba as a player that can bring goals back to their team.

Arsenal and the striker need a divorce at this point because it might be awkward having him in the team without the armband.
If he was on a fine run of form, fans would easily forgive him for his off-field problems.
But the former Borussia Dortmund striker has been terrible in front of goal.
Hopefully, Arsenal will sign another top striker in the summer, and that would help Mikel Arteta build his team without the Gabon star in mind.

It would surely be better for all, if Arsenal and Aubameyang part ways in January. But, on no circumstances Arsenal should be buying our rival rejects. Not Martial nor Wjnaldum. In the January transfer window Arsenal must buy a quality Striker like Vlahovic or Isak, an attacking midfielder that scores goals and provides assist like Dominik Szoboszlai or Christopher Nkunku and a defensive midfielder like Boubacar Kamara or Yves Bissouma. These quality players will surely help Arsenal in making the top four. Also, Arsenal must sell these players for any they can get, Mari, Kolasinac, Torriera, Chambers, Elneny, Nketiah, AMN, Guendouzi, Aubameyang, Mavropanos and Pepe to help fund the acquisition of quality players needed.
Barcelona will be a great option for Auba but the problem would be his wages, I suppose. Anyway, if indeed he goes to Barca, I wish him the very best. Arsenal must sign Vlahovic or Jovic or DCL, strikers who can guarantee goals. Also I agree about Arsenal trying to sign Szoboszlai and another DM.
