The full Wenger post game interview – We believe!

AUDIOPOST – Arsene Wenger was in a very good mood after his makeshift Arsenal team destroyed Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 and he even made a couple of jokes with the assembled hacks after the game.

Overall he was very happy with the performance and he now believes that the Gunners will now progress to the knockout stages, but there were a couple of worrying points. The most serious is the news that Wenger has now upped his estimate of the length of Francis Coquelin’s recovery from two months to three months, and Le Prof also admitted that he took off Giroud and Bellerin because he was worried about their knocks.

But all in all a good day at the office for Wenger. Here you can listen to his full interview with TalkSport after the match. It’s good to hear him happy again!

  1. 2 weeks from now, hopefully, we will have our players back (Ox, and Walcott) to qualify from OLY’s turf …
In Arsenal, things never come the easy way, unfortunately, it is always a catching up game …

    1. OT:
How about you Wenger bringing another player like Sanchez (even close to that caliber)!
With all due respect to our quality players (Cazorla, Ozil, Ramsey), I just feel that only Sanchez is the real threat who can make a significant difference upfront … Just imagine two Sanchez in our team, that would be awwwwwwwwwwesome …

    2. We should get welbeck and Wilshere back soon and rosicky in the near future. As long as we stay within touching distance till January were in a good position

  2. I have always said…..even through disappoints..there is something different with this squad.

Yes we let 2 golden opportunities pass to go top, but 10 injuries!! imagine city had aguaro, silva, yaya, sterling and de bruyne injured?they wont be the same.

Im glad ozil is proving his doubters wrong, and yes he is the best no 10 around right now…

ramsey, ozil, walcot back in the squad in two weeks…that’s a huge boost.

I think if flamini/chambers can just put in damn good shifts til Jan, we’ll still be in the top 3.

im telling ya’ll again, once ramsey and theo is back in the starting 11….we gon go on a winning streak…

Good performance last night from the lads..

    keep it up Joel……

  3. Super impressed with Joel, what an assist to Sanchez, I had to look twice to make sure it wasn’t Ozil. Ozil was electric, all over the pitch next to Sanchez our best player last night. I also will not be surprised if Barca or Madrid come knocking for Bellerin soon…the lad has all the right stuff to be world class.

  4. Makeshift team? Don’t think so, it’s exactly the same team he plays week in week out regardless of who is fit, bar Campbell and flamini.
Major burnout coming for a lot of players. Wengers lack of forsight will grind this team down to nothing.

  5. Was that Gunners’ team starters that spanked Zagreb 3-0 a makeshit team? I don’t think so. I think it was a strong team put out by the Boss and they did their job very well. Were not Cambell and Flamini the only 2 changes brought in to our regular 1st team starters that we all know? Though, I would have loved to see the Gunners win the match 6-0 to teach the doping Dinamo Zagreb a hard lesson. But all the same, we thank God for the victory we got.

  6. I made a comment about Joel Campbell not taking his chances especially when he has to be replaced by a defender who even got us the equaliser. I was a little bit worried against West Bromwich when he couldn’t simply tap in a golden opportunity. But I saw a different Campbell yesterday who even made a very wonderful assist. I think he is gradually improving. Surprised nobody has said anything about him.

  7. Admini, Pls why is my comment awaiting moderation? Is it because I mistakenly omitted letter p in Campbell’s name spelling?
