This Arsenal star is tipped to shine against Newcastle United

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been in fine home form in the Premier League this season and has been tipped to put on another goal-scoring show against Newcastle United this weekend.

The Gunners suffered a 4-0 loss against Liverpool in their last league game, but they had been unbeaten in 10 competitive matches prior.

Auba scored a number of goals for them in that run and the Premier League has urged Fantasy Premier League managers to buy him because he would provide good value in the match against the Magpies.

The report highlights some impressive stats that Arsenal fans would also love about their captain ahead of the match.

They write: “A home encounter with Newcastle United looks set to lift the Arsenal forward’s prospects in Fantasy.

“Aubameyang has been a reliable performer at Emirates Stadium this term, scoring in four of his five starts there.

“Indeed, all of his attacking returns in 2021/22 – four goals and an assist – have come at home.

“The underlying numbers highlight Aubameyang’s importance to the Gunners.

“At home this season, his totals of 16 shots in the box and 10 shots on target both rank second among all players in Fantasy.

“Only Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), the top-scoring player in Fantasy, has surpassed either of those figures, with 19 and 12 respectively.

“Aubameyang’s record against Newcastle offers further encouragement for his 4.2 per cent ownership in Fantasy.

“The Gabonese has produced attacking returns in each of his six meetings with Newcastle in Fantasy. He has three goals and 23 points in his last two home matches against them.”

Just Arsenal Opinion

Aubameyang is one of the most important players at Arsenal right now, and the team needs his goals.

The game against the Magpies shouldn’t be as tough as the match against Liverpool, but Eddie Howe’s side will give Arsenal a run for their money.

Fixtures like that can only be won by taking your chances and Auba needs to be ready to score as many goals as he can.

  2. Newcastle are dangerous going forward but useless in defence, it will be an interesting game with goals from both sides, imho.
