Today’s Arsenal transfer rumours – Some good, some bad

A little light today with the transfer gossip, well, it was first thing in the morning but as the day has progressed there has been a drip of speculation coming from our beloved media.

In fact, it is not all about players coming to the Emirates, some reports have players that may not be coming despite our interest. Let’s start with players that we are rumoured to be interested in.

Genk’s Leandro Trossard is appanetrly a player we are looking at, according to the Metro. They are claiming that the 24-year-old is a possible option in the event that we do not make Denis Suarez a permanent signing.

In the same report, the Metro also claims that 23-year-old Boca Juniors’ Cristian Pavon is another player we are considering, again as an alternative to Suarez.

The Daily Star has reported that we sent scouts last night to watch Cagliari’s Nico Barella play against Juventus. That would be the third time this season that we have watched the 22-year-old, so our interest is certainly solid.

We have apparently given up all hope of signing Lille’s Nicolas Pepe, according to Football.London, though that was cited as a reason for our interest in Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser, so not sure that is real gossip.

Finally, another player that we may be set to miss out on is Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico states Talksport, though, if I am being honest, I am not sure this is as up to date as Talksport would like us to think.

So that is it for today, three players we are after and two that are unlikely to be arriving in North London this summer, well not to us anyway.
