Top DM tells Arsenal to make a move

Every Arsenal fan in the world knows that the Gunners are in desperate need of a top defensive midfielder, and is waiting impatiently for Arsene Wenger to finally announce that he has found a suitable target for us. So when a top Premiership midfielder actually comes out and insists he wants to play for us then surely Wenger must sit up and take notice?

There were many rumours last week that the French moneybags PSG were moving in to sign Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko, but that has not come to pass, but now the player himself has publicly stated that he really wants to move to the Emirates.

“I remain focused on Newcastle,” Sissoko was quoted as saying. “If something should happen, it will happen.

“England remains my priority. If Arsene Wenger calls me? We will have a discussion man to man. Arsenal has always been the club of my heart.”

“I would love to win the Euros [in 2016] with France and the Champions League too. I want to continue to go further and higher.”

Sissoko is big and strong, and at only 25 he probably has his best years in front of him. He already has two years experience of the rough and tumble of the Premiership and has performed superbly for Newcastle. He also has 27 caps for the France senior side so Wenger should be well aware of his abilities already, and it is clear that he wants to move to Arsenal.

I think Wenger should make that call as soon as possible, but if he passes up on it and then tries to tell us that “there were no suitable players available” then I will be very annoyed indeed!
