Tottenham star extremely worried ahead of Arsenal clash

Arsenal may have had to settle for a last minute winner against Ludgorets on Tuesday, but this weekend’s rivals Tottenham were embarrassed by a home defeat against Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, and with their injury list piling up as well, their goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is very worried about the state of the team.

Lloris said in the Telegraph: “We cannot be in a worse situation. It is difficult to accept that kind of performance from us. It was difficult to recognise the team, very aggressive, very calm under pressure, and that was completely the opposite.

“We need to learn quickly because there is a big game in Sunday. The derby is always important and we need to forget about this disappointment and be ready.”

Arsenal have a few injuries, but the Spuds are in a much worse situation right now with Harry Kane, Mousa Dembele, Alderweireld, Erik Lamela and Danny Rose all out, although Kane may have recovered enough to be on the bench against us. Lloris doesn’t think they should blame that on the reason for the defeat at Wembley. “We cannot depend on one, two or three players. We need to think as a team,” he said. “In football there are ups and downs. It is difficult because this game was every important and I did not feel we were aware of that. Leverkusen did not play a great game. They were just well-organised and had some chances because of us, because we made too many mistakes.”

Well I am sure all Arsenal fans will be devastated by the problems at Tottenham! It doesn’t mean that we should be overconfident though, they may be a bit more motivated against us the they were yesterday. Anyone it fills ME with a little more confidence lol.

  1. i’ll be confident when i see that ramsey is not playing on the wings and OG is on da bench to come in as an early super sub.

  2. It was always on the cards that the spuds were going to struggle playing their champions league home games at Wembley, as we did too.
These foreign clubs will always up their game when playing at a world famous stadium like wembley, as it’s a once in a lifetime event for many players, so I wouldn’t underestimate the spuds on Sunday.

I know that there’s a few Ramsey fans on here, but the teams performance speaks for itself when he’s playing. I personally hope that he doesn’t start against the spuds. ?

  3. Lets not cheat ourselves, with will be a very difficult game. My worry is not the Spurs threat, but which Arsenal will show up.

  4. please wnger don’t start ramsey….hes such a reluctant player…who does he thnk he is….messi????
