Two Arsenal players injured already – with 11 still to play! Who’s next?

Arsenal fans have always hated the boring international breaks that come during crucial points of the season, especially as we always seem to get our players back injured, and this particular one has already thrown up two injury problems with Alexis Sanchez suffering a hamstring tear, and Hector Bellerin being sent home by Spain.

But the fact is that there hasn’t even been a ball kicked yet, and we have 11 other players that could be playing two games each in the next 7 days. The one we will be watching more closely than usual will be Olivier Giroud for France as he is our only fit striker left! Him and Laurent Koscielny are likely to figure in France’s World Cup Qualifier against Sweden tomorrow.

England take on Scotland and we are hoping the Jocks won’t be too tough on Theo Walcott, who is our top scorer so far. Ramsey is likely to figure for Wales against Serbia on Saturday, while Granit Xhaka will appear for Switzerland against the physical Faroe Islands on Sunday. Shkrodan Mustafi will be starting for Germany too.

Monreal is with Spain and in their second game he could come face to face with Walcott. Rob Holding could appear for the England U21s against Italy tonight, while in South America we have David Ospina playing twice for Colombia, and hopefully Alexis Sanchez won’t play for Chile next Tuesday.

In Africa we have Mohamed Elneny playing for Egypt and Alex Iwobi appearing for Nigeria.

So with 11 players all likely to be playing twice in the coming days, what are the hopes that we don’t get any more problems when they return. Especially not Walcott and Giroud please….

    1. Jenkinson I’m guessing, but he’s way off Bellerin’s level. Hopefully it’s just a short-term injury.

  1. It would be painful to see that Sanchez is out injured at this crucial stage of the league. He is one of the players i pray to be injury free. It seem to me that the usual problem of injury have started but i pray for God to avert it from Arsenal this time. Sanchez is the heart and engine room of Arsenal attack that need not to be injured now, even though he did not score in some matches been feature, but he stop the opponent defenders from mounting pressure on us because he is paceful. The front three of Sanchez, Walcott and Iwobi can destroy any defender in the world. I pray he should recover on time.
