Unconvincing Arsenal still put pressure on catchable Chelsea

I was hoping that Arsenal would produce a convincing performance in the Premier League yesterday and record a big win over Southampton, As we all know that did not happen and you could argue that the Gunners were lucky to get any win at all, but thanks toa late goal from Danny Welbeck all the points did go to Arsenal.

It was hardly the sort of thing to increase the pressure on our London rivals Chelsea who sit one place above us in the league table and for some time it looked as though the Blues would stroll to victory themselves, but despite and early goal and plenty more chances, they allowed West Ham to gain a foothold and then claim a point through a Javier Hernandez strike.

You could feel the tension and lack of confidence around Stamford Bridge and once the Hammers had scored you could see it in the players, so maybe Arsenal winning was enough. Things are not going well for Antonio Conte and the reigning EPL champions this season who are now just three points above Arsenal.

With six games to go it will be Chelsea feeling the pressure, while on the other hand Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal team should gain inspiration from being so close to the side above. It looks like being a very interesting run-in, but can Arsenal catch and pass Chelsea?
