Unsettled Sturridge seeks out Arsenal talks for last minute move

Liverpool’s Daniel Sturrdge has tasked his representatives to seek out talks with Arsenal, in hope of striking a Deadline Day switch.

The England international is said to be unhappy with his current role under Jurgen Klopp, having picked up under 100 match minutes from the opening four competitive matches, and having been utilized out wide also.

Sturridge is now claimed to be pushing to move, although Liverpool are not believed to be keen on entertaining the idea.

The former Chelsea and Manchester City forward is now claimed to have had his representatives seek out talks with Arsenal over a possible loan deal.

The Gunners have already brought in Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna to back-up first choice striker Olivier Giroud up front, while Danny Welbeck is now expected to be able to return early from his injury, and could well be back before Christmas.

The possibility of bringing in Sturridge also could be a great coup, with his impressive goal per game ratio being a huge boost to our attack.

We have been linked with a move to sign the Liverpool man for a number of months, but a deal had appeared unlikely with many LFC fans relying on his goals, the manager may not see his importance in the same light.

The Arsenal Horse said we was hoping to land one more signing, could this be it?

Could we strike a deal to bring Sturridge in from our rivals, either in a permanent or temporary deal? If we show an interest, he may well hand in some sort of request if he really is unhappy…

  1. Tony Gale: “Arsenal paid the price for stalling”
Meanwhile at Chelsea… 34mill for “defender” David Luiz
    25mill for Marcos Alonso
more money spent on inferior players….
blatant bias, but what else is new

    1. Tony Gale has proven time and again he HATES Arsenal. He tries to hide it. He pretends but it is too obvious.

I still remember the Norwich game where he complained about for 20 minutes straight about an Arsenal PK even though he admitted it was the right call!!

He is a whining pusillanimous coward.

    2. talk sport on Monday night took the cake. Arsenal was criticised for Mustafi because he “couldn’t cut it at Everton” whereas ManU were fawned over for Lights signing. Hey, didn’t Pogba used to play for…

  2. Speaking about “goal per game ratios”, am I the only one wondering why we haven’t put in a bid for Sergio Aguero? He’s a very good striker who could improve our squad and provide us with options upfront.

    1. Of course Aguero is good. When he is not in the City lineup their odds of winning drop dramatically. Putting in a bid would be a waste of time and City would find it insulting.

They would never sell Aguero to Arsenal – not in a million years. (OK, maybe 150 mil would do the trick – but Wenger would only offer 40 mil).

    2. I feel ya mate.. I also wonder why haven’t we put in a bid for Luis Suarez.. I mean he scored 40 La Liga goals last season, he could improve our team. Surely they would be willing to sell if we table a £30 mil bid!

  3. Odds makers have moved the odds to influence the betting – not because they believe the move is more likely.

    1. i think odds makers influence move the odds to influence thw betring – right, but they do it cause a lot of betting was done and they want to minimalise their losses, so if a lot of people makes a large betting on a particular player, the odds sink cause they want the other betters to bet on other players and who makes large bets? yes exactly there are a lot of ITK’s who make large bettings.. so odd makers influencing the odds DO tell us about the probability of something happening indirectly

  4. I hope that Victor has a great sense of humour, after being released by WBA. ?

    1. I wouldn’t quite mind Victor. He has power and might be of massive assistance to improving the goal tally of Ozil!

  5. Nothing happening at afc as expected. Good luck jack!! Kik ass down south. See u back next year.

  6. I don’t know about you guys but I think Danny sturridge is class when fit n will definitely improve the team. Maybe I’m getting a little greedy but hey can’t blame me I’m buzzing here. Some one remind me why there’s an international break this early in the season?
