Where will failure to beat Baggies leave Arsenal?

There is no doubt that Arsenal need the three points today and even though the Hawthorns is a tough place to go to get them, despite the fact the Baggies lost their last home game, I am sure that Arsene Wenger will be sending his Arsenal side out to take the game to West Brom and to make the most of our creative and attacking ability.

We should be feeling confident after the second half performance against Lincoln City last weekend, but that confidence is likely to be fragile and with Tonly Pulis teams often causing the Gunners to misfire I think we have to look at the possibility of dropping points or even losing, but where would that leave us in terms of the top four?

Outside it, for sure, going into the international break. In fact we would be at least five points behind Liverpool even if they lose away to Man City. We could even drop to sixth if Man United win away at Middlesborough as we only have one point more at the moment.

Everton are omnly three points worse off than Arsenal, although they have played two games more, but it is upward that we need to look and failure to beat the Baggies would be a massive boost for all the sides above us in the table.

After the international break we have the visit of Man City so there are no easy points there, but after that big game we have West Ham at home and then Crystal Palace and Middlesborough away and we should remember that Arsenal thrive on those types of games, especially at this point of the season.

So while I am not going to panic if Arsenal fail to win today, I do think it would mean that we could be in for the toughest top four fight in a long time. How do you guys see the rest of the EPL campaign panning out?

Bob.

  1. Sloppy article with plenty of spelling errors. I think there’s not much going on around here. You still paid on clicks?

  2. Nothing much will change
We will be still stuck with a clueless but lucky manager
Probably just make the top 4 or 5
Probably won’t win the FA Cup
Wenger won’t fix problems in summ
    Probably lose Alexis

I hate being negative but blame Wenger and

Panic is the mother of survival Bob. Failing to win would be another disaster in a disaster-filled season. For the rest everything is business as usual 🙂

    1. Now we are level on points with Everton, tell me you are still not panicking Bob, just a little?
