Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign three top strikers in the past 24 hours, but which one do we actually believe we would be willing to pay for?
Alexandre Lacazette was claimed to be keen on leaving Lyon in the near future to make the step-up in his career, and having scored consistently over the past four seasons, I believe he could be a great addition to our team. Lyon president Aulas has already claimed to have turned down offers between £35-60 Million, but should the striker ask to leave this summer, somewhere in the region of those amounts would likely be needed.
Alvaro Morata is another who has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates, and he is now claimed to be ‘considering’ a switch to our beloved club. His goalscoring prowess is not such a straight-line however, with him yet to break the 10 league goal barrier for either Real Madrid or Juventus. He has rarely completed the full 90 minutes in both spells in Italy and Spain however, and is yet to have a proper run of starts either. The Spanish giants are claimed to be demanding £51 Million however, which could prove a stumbling block.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang is another continually linked with our club, and Borussia Dortmund have finally declared their asking price for their star-striker. The BVB are claimed to be in want of €80 Million (£68.5 Million) , and given his star-quality and sheer numbers of goals, I would love for Arsenal to make the bold bid.
We know our side have consistently favoured finding those value signings, but Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil’s arrivals have proved that they are willing to pay the right fee for the right player.
Could any of the trio prove to be the right player, who is commanding the right fee in the club’s eyes?
