Which Liverpool will Arsenal face? 4 goal losers or winners?

Arsenal fans will have been a bit worried to say the least when the news came in on Saturday that our opponents for the first game of the Premier League season had just put the mighty Barcelona to the sword, with a 4-0 win against a strong side including their former striker Luis Suarez, Messi, Iniesta and all.

The scoreline did not flatter the scousers either, and Jurgen Klopp’s heavy pressing tactics were just too much for the Catalan giants, so the Gunners will have a tough task if that is the sort of performance we will have to cope with at the weekend.

If you were looking for encouragement, however, you did not have to wait long, as Liverpool faced |Klopp’s former club Mainz the next day and were crushed by the same 4-0 scoreline that they had beaten Barca by. Klopp had made changes but it was still a strong looking side, with Lallana, Origi, Henderson, Can, Moreno and Grujic all starting.

They were well beaten and created hardly anything themselves, so Arsenal will be hoping that it will be this sort of Liverpool that we see at the Emirates rather than the one that shocked the Spanish champions. To be honest their whole pre-season has been hit and miss, with losses to Chelsea, Roma and Mainz along with victories over AC Milan and Barcelona, so what do you expect from them against the Gunners?

  1. Yes which Liverpool plays
    will be very interesting.
I am quite surprised with the
    lack of progression of this
    Liverpool team under Klopp.
    Their defense is terrible.
The new keeper is injured and Mingolet is useless.
Lovren and Moreno are plain awful.
But they do have Sakho Matip and Klaven to bring in.
Henderson and Lallana are average and Coutinho is out of sorts
but they do have Wijnaldum Grujic and Can.
They still need to sell Benteke to buy another striker.
Sturridge is out as usual with Firminho starting up front.
So yes Klopp has to perform a minor miracle to get his side ready
in time for Arsenal but he is Jurgen Klopp so we can’t underestimate him.
Both sides are works in progress so any thing could happen.

        1. Bro, I’m totally serious. You have no idea how afraid I’m after last week showings and injury to Gab.

  2. Liverpool played their preseason with shorter interval between matches. So, they might also more tired than us. Mixtures result but you’ve to admit that they’ve faced stronger opponents than us.
Lesson from Barca game is don’t get caught pants down by their counter attack. Liverpool now is “new Dortmund” in the making. Playing the tempo is the best for us.
I’m glad that AW is facing his “twin” philosopher, which is mean no bus parking. Base from the story between them, it could go either way but I feel optimistic that we are going to get maximum point. COYG!!!!
