Who has signed Yaya Toure? Has he joined Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham? The bookies say Arsenal

Yaya Toure’s ongoing search for a new club after leaving Man City as a free agent this summer looks to be over, with Arsenal a very possible destination for the veteran midfielder. Despite being 35 years old he is very keen to continue his career in the Premier league, and according to his agent, Dimitry Seluk, Yaya has passed a medical at a top London club.

“@YayaToure has passed a medical in London,” Seluk wrote. “Yaya is close to signing a new contract.”

West Ham were strongly linked with a move given Toure’s relationship with new manager Manuel Pellegrini from their time together at City, but Seluk made it clear that it is only a big club that Toure would join, which would appear to make it between Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham. He said: “It’s not West Ham, 100%,” Seluk added. “Yaya is a champion. The last place is not for him.”

Back in May when Toure announced he was looking for a new club, his agent said: “Yaya is fit and desperate to prove he’s still the best central midfielder in the Premier League,”

“He’s happy to accept a one-year deal to stay in England. And if his club are not satisfied with his performances, he will pay back half his wages, or the club can cancel his contract immediately, with no compensation.”

So it is possible that Arsenal could have signed him cheaply, and according to the bookies, the Gunners are the very hot favourites to get the deal done. We have to admit that if he is still as god as ever he would be a great addition to the squad, even if it just to play in the Europa.

What do you think? Do Arsenal need him?
