Arsenal are in the middle of a gruelling run of fixtures at the moment, but our best players can have some respite on Thursday when we can play a completely rotated team against Qarabag in the Europa League. We have already qualified from the Group and a draw will guarantee we finish top but we really need to rest some players – as fatigue, injuries and suspensions are starting to make an impact on the squad.
So who should be playing on Thursday? We know Petr Cech will be in goal, but we have very few defenders we can call on. Sokratis is likely to play as he is suspended for the Saints on Sunday, and Jenkinson, Maitland-Niles and possibly Lichtsteiner will complete the back line, although Emery may give Monreal and Koscielny half a game each to assess their fitness for Sunday.
Elneny, Smith-Rowe, Willock and Nketiah should all start, but who is Emery likely to pick for the remaining positions? Osei-Tutu, Gilmour, John-Jules, Medley and Saka were all on the bench before the last game against Vorskla and could feature again. But surely Emery will want a couple more experienced players in the team to steady the ship and keep our unbeaten run going? Maybe Mhkitaryan and Iwobi again, as they only played 45 minutes at the weekend?

I wish Arsenal continues with the unbeaten run for eternity ???; but should it come to an end, I hope it will be courtesy of some small team, like Qarabag. Should a major rival stop us, especially in the epl, we will never hear the end of it ???

I think we should rest Kosc for Wednesday as we are short of defenders. I will suggest Papas at the centre of defence, then Monreal to his left as he has played there severally for us. Then Jenkinson and Miles on wing backs.
Sunday I mean. Also Arsenal has qualified as the top of the group.

OT just seen an article saying we’ll do a swap with United… Ozil for Sanchez WTH!!!! This had better be BS…. I think I’d cry if that was to happen!
It won’t happen Sue. Sanchez is on £500k a week and I don’t think he will take a big pay cut because he ‘loves’ Arsenal!! He moved for money so let him stew in it. Apparently this is a rumour started by Alan Brazil. I don’t think Ozil is going anywhere soon he loves London life and is on a rumoured £300-£350k a week until 2021, why should he leave and who would pay those wages?
