FIVE reasons why Arsenal can POWER to Premier League title

It would take a minor miracle for Arsenal to finish this latest round of EPL games on top of the Premier League race, well it would need Manchester United to win their derby game with Man City while we beat Everton, and if our rivals draw we would need to put seven past the Toffees to go above City on goal difference.

After their dog awful performance against CSKA Moscow after fielding almost a full strength team, I cannot see United beating City, even without Silva and Aguero, but you never know, and a draw would be a good result for the Gunners anyway. The Premier League is a marathon not a sprint and we just need to keep putting in the miles and picking up the points.

And there are five very ‘powerful’ reasons for us to believe that this is our year. I am talking about the new Power Rankings on the Sky Sports website which gives every player in the Premier League a score for their performance, and adds it to the previous four weeks, with the scores from longer ago decreasing in significance to give an overall form guide.

And while Arsenal are the league’s form team with five wins from the last six, our individual players dominate these power rankings. We have five in the top 11; with Alexis Sanchez unsurprisingly at number one and with Nacho Monreal at number three, Mesut Ozil at eight, Hector Bellerin at nine and the safe hands of Petr Cech holding on to 11th spot.

Man City have Sterling and De Bruyne right behind the Arsenal keeper but no players above him and neither have Man United, Liverpool or Chelsea. So you can see why Arsenal´s in form players can power us to the EPL title as long as the injury problems stay away.

  1. One game at a time. It’ll be interesting to see where we are in January/February. If we are top of the table or top 3 on the table at that time with the points difference not much’, then we have a great run in the 2nd half of the season as we did last season’ then we’ll be Champions. Until then, let’s take games one game at a time bearing in mind fatigue, injuries, suspension and players form will happen…

  2. 5 reasons why Arsenal are the best:

    1. We SELL
    2. SELL some more
    3. Don’t Buy, Say Good-BYE
    4. Grow that WarChest
    5. Repeat

    1. That wasn’t a very convincing comment.
      Buy 8 new players? Why?
Buy Lewa? Get a grip. Arsenal have no hope of buying or Bayern selling
Sell jacky rambo and ox Hmm again Why? They have long successful careers in front of them.
Bench Ozil? Yes okay put our best midfielder on the bench – Okay Duh!
Retire? Do you realise that Arsenal in 2015 (the whole year) are the most consistent team in Europe. This means Wenger has lost LESS games than any other manager in Europe over 10 months. And you want him to leave?

  3. at bayern
the first goal was a hand ball
the second goal was allowed because it was from a turkish player and awarded by a turkish referee
and their strikers missed 5 sitters
    at manu
they played with only to defenders
    plus martial and rooney missed
    sitters
please stop celebrating and wait for the end of the season

    1. LOL You are miserable aren’t you. So we shouldn’t celebrate our two best wins of the year!
You obviously need to be treated for depression if those two wins didn’t cheer you up!

    2. Sorry, but I think you need to change your pair of eyes cuz if you meant what you said then you must be blind (unless you’re joking). Our games since Leicester were awesome.
we need to take one game at a time and if we have less injuries and maintain the spirit, the confidence, and the ”attack together and defend together no matter what”. than we have a great shot at the title.
Let’s beat everton first and see where we’ll be on the table. COYG!!!

  5. we should have bought schneiderlin so that we could have le coq as his back up
we should have bought carvalho with santi as his backup
and finally isco with ramsey as his backup

    1. Le Coq is better than schneiderlin. Is it because we didn’t pay twenty-five millions for him?
You sound like a little kid who has better toys but wants the ones he/she doesn’t have.

  6. you know its funny how things change so fast
cech was a backup at chellsh$t
    welbz was manures scape goat
le coq was loaned to a championship club
    monreal our scape goat
ramsey was more than awful last season
ozil was anonymous in the big stage
cazorla was out of form in the first part of last season
    now
    walcott is the lone striker
    ozil is our leader
    ramsey is on the wings
    cazorla is at cm
le coq has been accorded the most important role thats winning midfield battles
all of a sudden we are invincible

    1. Looking at your previous comments, not sure if you are trying to be sarcastic or what…but the point is we are beating teams that we would never have 2 or 3 seasons ago and grinding out the results – still while playing gorgeous football. The fear factor we have missed for years is growing back, other teams are worried and I bet many of the games we are going to win in the future will have been won even before the first whistle. There is a definite shift in power and it really can only get better from here. I agree though not to count our chickens just yet, but I cannot help but get excited about our team and the possibilities that await them.

  7. If any opponents player/players missed sitters against Arsenal in any game, and Arsenal went on to scored with the only chance they have in the game and won the match, what business is that of Arsenal to do with the opponents missing their sitters? If Arsenal win the match against Everton tomorrow as we all believe they will do. That win will place them on 22 points out of the possible maximum 30 points. Thereby dropping 8 points in the process. Those dropped 8 points are too many. This weekend games brings us to match day number10. And that can be deemed as a 1/4 of League games played. In the next 10 League games, I want Arsenal to target and collect not less than 28 points out of the maximum collectible 30 points to be in control of the championship halfway into the season. I will write more on that later.

  8. Arsenal are in a good position in the league and I totally agree without any more injuries we can pull something special this year..I just hope Wenger will put his pride and ego aside and STRENGTHEN in January! especially the DM position.. if Coquelin breaks a leg its back to flamini
