Why Arsenal fans can forget striker transfer

You know what Arsene Wenger will say about Arsenal and the search for another striker in the January transfer window, because we have all heard it before. The club will sign a striker this month if the right one comes along and if they are available.

And therein lies the problem because there is a shortage of really top quality forwards out there and most of them are already at clubs that can offer them the chance of major trophy success. The others will be very hard to get because no club wants to lose their best players halfway through the season and we know that Wenger does not like to be held to ransom on transfer fees.

We have already been heavily linked with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but he seems content to stay at Borussia Dortmund for the time being so it would take a fortune to persuade them to sell. The same appears to be true of the latest Arsenal transfer rumour link, Odion Ighalo if Watford.

If Arsenal are really keen on this sort of signing it will be a lot easier in the summer, especially if we have just won the Premier League. For now we could get a decent striker without too much trouble I expect but would they even get a game?

Giroud is scoring regularly and we have goals all over the pitch. Alexis Sanchez is almost fit and Joel Campbell is improving all the time. We also have Theo Walcott who can play out wide and in the middle and before too long Wenger will have the option of Danny Welbeck as well.

So unless we can somehow get a significant improvement on these current Gunners, do we really need a striker signing this month?

  1. That’s why not getting an outfielder This summer was a huge mistake by Wenger. January is Not good for big signings. January is for emergency signings really

However, all will be forgiven if we win the PL.

  2. Wenger actually hinted after the Sunderland game that Elneny will be our only January signing.

    As porky pig would say:
?- “bede bede bede that’s all folks!”

  3. Martial was good enough for arsenal but he is gone now. We already have two good strikers who are already good enough. I am rather concerned with replacing santi.

    1. We have sooo many potential replacements for Santi! Ramsey, wilshere, ox in the current first-team crop. Crowley, zelalem, Maitland-niles, Jeff in the next.
Santi’s game is built on technique and intelligence. I’ll actually cry if we lose him in the next few seasons, as I still think we’re yet to see the best of him

  4. The Sunday Express reports that Barcelona Boss Luis Enrique is a big fan of Ramsey – and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well aware of it. The Catalan club are preparing a huge bid in the summer of around £50 million to try and tempt Arsenal and will also join the clubs circling Everton’s England star Stones.

How about including Suarez in that deal ?
I will chuck in a wheelchair too ?

Ramsey and Jack for Suarez. … Anyone?

    1. Nope.. We’d laugh at them for a season (if he manages to not bite anyone), they’d laugh at us for the next decade.

  5. guys , you won’t believe what I’m gonna tell you… But I just got some insider knowledge of some amazing things that are about to happen this summer. Starting off with something I’m actually really sure about… The future of Arsene Wenger, I can’t tell you where I got this from, but I’m 90% sure that arsene wenger won’t continue as headcoach of Arsenal IF he’ll get his hands on the Premier League trophy this season. And his successor won’t be Pep nor will it be LVG (lulz just for the giggles)… It will be Lucien Favre (former BMG trainer) And Momo Elnenny is Lucien’s choice. As said I’cant tell you where I got this from, but I can tell you that I’m Swiss, so no point of moaning about my english. Cheers!

  6. Forget about striker this january as there are just less top quality strikers out there actually.. All I think we need at the moment is a DM, as long as elnany will be available then a DM as well..
