Why Arsenal fans should be confident of beating Leicester

With arsenal still just taking the first few steps on the road to recovery after suffering the worst period the team has had to endure for many a year and setting a few unwanted records for the Arsene Wenger era, we could probably have done without this midweek game against a side that is not only the reigning Premier League champions but who are quite a bit further down their own road to redemption while still needing some points to make their survival in the top flight completely secure.

The fact is, however, that we have to face Leicester City at the Emirates tomorrow and after the long and hard FA cup semi-final win over Man City it is likely to be a tough test for the Gunners, which makes this week a nervous time for us Gooners.

I would not worry too much if I were you though, because I think that as long as Arsenal do not turn up with the sort of abject showing we saw against Crystal Palace or Watford then we should be alright, and I very much doubt that the players are ready to slack off at the minute.

Do not forget that Arsenal were the only side to do the double over the Foxes last season and that gives us a big mental advantage going into this game. They are missing key players as well and I do not think they will be banking on getting anything from tonight but they will be confident of picking up points in the games to come.

So although I do not expect them to make it easy, I think it will be easier than a lot of us expect. I certainly hope so. COYG.

  1. Wes Morgan, Islam Slimani and Pap Mendy are all out, we all know what Musa, Vardy, Mahrez are capable of on the break, however they will have a very weak back 4. If wenger played safe he will play a back 4, if he goes all out, expect the 3 defender system

    1. please don’t go through opposition’s injury list…

      .
Cuz when all seems rosy for you, that’s when they excel!

      .
And if wenger were half as clever as he thinks he is….. He’d know the right player or tactics to use…….

      How to manage wenger

  2. I’ll be honest, I’m expecting Arsenal to get a bit full of themselves any time soon, then right back to square one with a weak and effortless performance. Why is it that every now and then they can come together and put some effort into it but never in a million years would they look like doing that in every game.

I remember we beat Leicester at their own game when we went away last season, but the one at home we got a bit lucky I think, we just sneaked it.

I’d like to rest Alexis Oxlade Xhaka Koscielny Ozil for the Tott game, I’m not sure if we can drop five first team players at the minute. Start some of them on the bench, and if we have a good lead leave them there and take others off maybe.

This would be my first time suggesting resting Ozil. He put allot of effort into that city game, if you can do this in every game Ozil you could be a terrific player, it would help goal stats too because you’d be fighting harder for your team. And your decision making would become quicker.
