Why Arsenal WILL get going with Galatasaray win

Arsenal have huffed and puffed so far this season without getting the results that we have deserved. But apart from that terrible and lacklustre performance in the Champions League at Borussia Dortmund, the Gunners have looked better as the season has progressed and we look like we are very close to hitting our straps.

But there is a growing injury list to concern us and a huge Premier League away game at Chelsea this weekend, which we must not lose. So I think it is great for the players that Galatasaray are coming to the Emirates on Wednesday night, because the Turkish club should be there for the taking and a morale boosting victory is just what the doctor ordered.

Galatasaray are currently struggling and sitting in fourth place in the Turkish league, which is hardly filled with quality. They were also very lucky to rescue a point against Anderlecht in their opening group game. And that was played in front of their vociferous home crowd, where they are usually a much tougher opponent than away from home.

I know that Arsenal are a bit stretched in the central midfield and defensive areas, but we should get away with this against Galatasaray, while our attacking players like Alexis, Ozil and Welbeck should have more than enough to take the points. If it was not for a very good defensive display and a bit of luck from Tottenham, the Gunners would have won another derby on Saturday. I doubt the struggling Turks will be able to hold us out as well.
