Will any of our loanees make it to the Arsenal first team? Part Two….

In Part One we discussed the oldies that are out on loan, and there are unlikely to be any of them getting into the Arsenal first team in the future, unless Emery does a U-Turn on Lucas Perez, so today we will take a look at some of our more promising candidates….

So let’s start with Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who actually reached the fringes of the first team but has since been plagued by injuries. It hasn’t improved too much lately either as he missed most of the first half of the season, but then went to France on loan at Angers. He made ten appearances and was praised, but got injured again towards the end of the season and he has had to pull out of the Toulon tournament this summer as he is still in the treatment room…

Another good prospect is Julio Pleguezuelo who was the captain of the Arsenal U23s. He went to Gimnàstic de Tarragona in the Spanish Segunda Division and made 8 appearances although he missed a portion of the time injured (of course! It seems to be a recurring theme!). He is a very versatile defender but as he is 21 already he will have to start being impressive very soon…

Another one that we had high hopes for last season until he needed surgery was Krystian Bielik, but unfortunately once he recovered he went on loan to Walsall, got injured again, and didn’t even get to play once! He will have to try and get a full season under his belt on loan before he will even be considered for Arsenal….

Ben Sheaf is another promising defender who was sent to Stevenage in January, and after a minor injury he made ten appearances. We will probably see him in pre-season games….

The right-back Tafari Moore joined Wycombe Wanderers in January and made 13 appearances in League Two….

We also sent out our left-back Marc Bola, who played regularly for Bristol Rovers in League One. A definite one for pre-season games…

The striker Stephy Mavididi had loans at Preston and Charlton with mixed results and a layoff with a hamstring injury, but he did play in both legs of the League 1 play-off semi-final but Charlton were unfortunately beaten by Shrewsbury.

One of ours that has definitely impressed is Kelechi Nwakali. The young Nigerian has been on loan at Venlo and Maastricht and played lots of games and scored six goals too. He also impressed and scored in a young Nigerian team that was narrowly beaten by an Atletico Madrid XI last week. Very promising lad….

We were hoping that Emiliano Martinez would have got many more games out on loan at Getafe, but the 25 year-old keeper spent nearly all season on the bench. Wenger rated him highly and he has played some good games for us when needed, but has he any chance of getting into the first team?

I think that is about it. It remains to be seen how many of our youngsters actually make the grade, but I definitely have high hopes for Nwakali, but my hopes for Bielik and Jeff have taken a knock this season…

I think they would try Martinez to compete with Cech and Macey as the backup. Josh Dasilva looked pretty good as a defender too, when he was given the chance

Apart from them, I don’t think the others would join Maitland-Niles and Nelson

Nwalali will come good this Pre-season. He had good time during his loan spell. You need to see the goal he scored for Nigeria Team C (in preparatory for Nations cup & Olympic team) against Athletico Madrid.
Nwalali is a star in making barring injury cog.

Mavididi’s great running with the ball, good control for someone so pacy. Not happy with our medical team or our routines which are crippling our youngsters much too early. Bielik, I’m hopeful he will get some game time at CDM and show his maturity, he looked ahead of Niles with his large frame and tough nature. Niles is talented, but I don’t think he’s ready for CDM yet, not on his own. I would like to see how Bielik would cope, but we need to sign quality because we cannot just wait and see how they go. Glad to here that about Kelechi, he was stand out player when we signed him, himself and his nations CF were said to have stolen the show in u23 world cup or equivalent.

Nwakali will one day come back to Arsenal strong. He’s a good prospect. But he needs to tie down a regular shirt in Nigeria National team team to be allowed permit in England.

Smart people don’t really come on site like these they’re out there contributing to various area in science I just come here to see how the average people thinks. Man City Man United Liverpool Chelsea Tottenham have three to four player who make the deference Liverpool for instance take away sadio mane Sala bang average Tottenham. without Harry Kane loris alli average my point is your team only need three to four world-class player all you need to find is good players around to compliment them at arsenal we don’t have one single world-class player who can make the difference For arsenal to make to make to four again we need 8 new players. Just look at the other teams and see what we’re up against. It will take us 2 years to make top for again the prayer we need and the players we need to get rid of it’s going to take awhile we cannot go forward with these players as our starter Ramsey ozil bellerin Welbeck Wilshire xhaka

Have you donated your body to science?
If you are a “smart person” how come your grammar is appalling?

  5. garfield

Being smart I’ve nothing to do with academic achievement it’s the ability to have critical thinking bass and what is likely are unlikely and what conform to reality on what is true or not as far as We Know and have enough information to have any conversation I am just trying to light the fire under the fan too as well how’s we are doing right now with the Arsenal board I’ve been saying a long time that players like Ozil Ramsey bellerin ahaka Wilshire Welbeck is not good enough when you are saying they were world-class

and I just want to add this lots of great men and women that contribute lot to civilization I’ve never been so called Educated

Frustrating to see how many of the players mentioned above pick up long-term injuries. Bielek and Reine-Adelaide seem to have bags of potential but if they can’t stay off the physio table who cares? Hopefully this year will be different

Annoying to see how we are dilly dallying.Napoli would probably sign him to replace the Utd or City bound Jorginho. Both clubs have activated Jorginho’s release clause.
I’ve never watched Torreira but I’m willing to trust your judgement that he’s light years better than Xhaka.I want us to sign a DM so badly because Xhaka needs to be benched.Heard Torreira made the highest interceptions(87) more than any player in Serie A in 16/17 season.I also heard he’s a bit like Cazorla but can tackle.

    1. Sergio

On loan with VVV last season – they won the league. He made 9 appearances and scored once I think.

He’s still 21, should see him in pre-season and hope he’ll make it in to the first team in the next few years.

  8. Sergio

Enjoyed these poets on youth prospects Admin, it does seem like our training routines or something to do with how we treat our youth players causes them injuries and stunts their growth. Hopefully Emery and Mertesacker can address this going forward.

  9. mrPSALM

YOU HAVE ALL SPOKEN WELL, ALL I WANT IS AN ARSENAL THAT PLAY WITH PASSION TO WIN TROPHY. ENOUGH OF TRY AN ERROR.

  10. Bakri

Absolutely not , non of Arsene Wenger mediocres is capable of playing for Arsenal first team and Arsenal have many players who need to get rid of them to rebuild a winning team and squad.
