Can you pick Wenger’s Arsenal team to face the Cherries?

I have a feeling that picking Arsenal’s Starting XI for this afternoon’s game at the Emirates is not going to be as easy as it usually would be. Arsene Wenger has already admitted that he will be using some rotation after our gruelling draw against PSG in midweek, so let’s look at the team he picked for that game….

Ospina
Jenkinson, Mustafi, Koscielny, Gibbs
Coquelin, Ramsey
Alexis, Ozil, Iwobi
Giroud

Subs: Cech, Monreal, Gabriel, Xhaka, Elneny, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott

We know for sure that Cech will return in place of Ospina, but the defence may have some changes. I expect Monreal to return on the left, but we also have the possibility of Matthieu Debuchy playing his first game for a year in place of Jenkinson, although I doubt that will happen. There is no way that Koscielny or Mustafi will be dropped.

The central midfield is more difficult to predict but i feel that Xhaka will come in to partner Coquelin, who is quite irreplaceable at the moment.

I just cannot see Wenger resting either Ozil or Alexis either, but I think The Ox and Walcott will be playing on the wings, although Le Prof may be loathe to put Iwobi on the bench so as to forget his own goal against PSG. Despite Giroud’s heroics I think he will be back on the bench to be brought on later if needed.

So here is my prediction for Wenger’s choices today…..
Cech
Jenkinson Koscielny Mustafi Monreal
Xhaka Coquelin
Walcott Ozil The Ox
Alexis

Who do you think Arsene will pick today?

  1. Think wenger will take a risk and play elneny so

    Walcott Ramsey Ramsey Walcott
    Ramsey elneny
    Walcott
    Walcott Sonogo Ramsey

  2. Despite Wenger saying he will rotate, I really can’t see him putting out a team without Ramsey in it somewhere.

I like the idea of Holding getting a game, but surely he will be playing in the League Cup in midweek, along with Gibbs and Debuchy.

  3. This is what i hope

    Cech
    Jenk…kosc…mustafi…Monreal
    Coquelin….Xhaka
    Walcott…..Ozil……Iwobi
